This anime was quite enjoyable. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it that much by looking at the drop in score compared to Zeta Gundam, but it exceeded my expectations. I didn't mind the humour that seems to make this show less popular than its predecessors.

7/10, now onto Char's Counterattack.

RIP Haman, you were really dope. It's nice getting a pretty happy ending, so Roux and Judau are a thing now. Overall, I don't know if I like ZZ more than Zeta...There were things I like more in ZZ like the characters, but ZZ also had things I didn't really like, like the overall story. I did enjoy Judau as a main protagonist overall more than I did Kamille in Zeta.

Overall I liked the series, but man I wish Chara Soon would have switched sides. She clearly had the potential for good in her.

And why did no one give a f*** when Ple Two died? A really pointless death of a character who would've been interesting to explore in future series as she was growing up.

Not bad, but... messy series, as it was already said.
Too abrupt mood changes from farce and comedy to drama. Some personalities also handled poorly. For example, Glemy in the first and the last part of series feels like a different person.
Some deaths have impact (Haman), other feel unnecessary or wasted, but I guess that was the message: war is stupid and ungrateful. I actually haven't even realised Puru Two died, before reading comments.
Basically, the director tried to make the show work and it definitely has its strong moments, but all pieces doesn't fit well together.

Ngl the best part of the series was seeing Kamille and Fa get a happy ending. Overall, an extremely lackluster series that heavily dropped the ball after Zeta set the bar so high.

So hamon died she lasted pretty long but i think this a good place for her to go hopefully they did kill her off. Sad chara died she was so likable.Kamille and fa are enjoying there time in earth hopfully they end up together unlike fraaw bow and amuro. WE also saw amur and beltorchika. So this mineva is a diffrent one from the one in zeta and i dont egt the ending why are judau and roux leaving to jupiter. Glad leina and judau got to meet. I will say ill miss judau is the protag and i wonder where char is

Mineva being a double actually makes sense. She was too non-character for someone supposedly important, and I was wondering how the Unicorn would deal with that considering so far she was barely interesting at all. Also explains why she was cool with getting kidnapped and why Haman was cool with killing her off.

Haman dying is sad. She was a great character and I'm mostly sad she had to go in such a mediocre series without reaching more of her potential.

Judau was an okay protagonist but his connection with Haman was pulled out of an ass, and honestly I don't buy the significance of their one-on-one battle.

Leina acting weird with all that secrecy, but at least she let her brother know she's alive. It would have been too cruel otherwise. Even though the plot point about her survival is still quite messy.

I was under impression that Elle had affections for Judau... Beecha liking Elle and getting jelous over Judau was also shown. I guess I don't care enough about these characters to care who ends up with who, but the implication on Judou x Roux came absolutely out of nowhere.

Kamille gets his own happily ever after. I hoped to see more of him, but at least nothing worse happened to him.

Overall, 4/10. Very disappointing series and excruciating to watch, especially the first half. Whatever few redeeming moments it had, they are not enough to come close even to Zeta. I think I started to appreciate Zeta even more after ZZ. The tonal shift was an absolute disaster and killed whatever investment I might have had in the characters. The drama about Leina and Ple was the peak of the show, giving it much needed complexity, but then it was handled just as poorly.

Yup. This is definitely the weakest Gundam that I've watched.
*Kinda odd to me Judau didn't mourn when Pleo died.
*A lot of episodes doesn't have anything to do with main storyline.
*Beecha and Mondo betrayed Argama and get away with it. Lol
*Ruruka having a romantic feelings for Judau is out of nowhere. There's no hint she's in love with Judau and vice versa.
*This newtype thingy really ruin the Gundam UC series. Imo
*Kamille being happy with Fa at the end, really the romance part in UC are all forced. Kamille never have a romantic feelings for Fa but I guess good for them they got their happy ending.
*The villains are all pretty meh aside from Haman Karn.

Nooooo, not Haman! Why does Gundam kill off all of the characters I like?

I agree that this wasn't as good as the original Gundam and Zeta, but it wasn't terrible either. 7/10

To a series that started off with a confusing tide of comedy to arguably one of the best highs in Gundam UC, Truly a wonderful conclusion. while the preceding Zeta finished off all of their new Types in melancholy, The contrast of a good fate worked well in Double Zeta, that with decently built characters of Neo Zeon and AEUG makes it undeniably great.

Like the other Gundam, it has a final battle where everyone fights and is something longer. However, here was all very safe, different from Zeta. I would say it was too easy. And finally, happy ending.

It wasn't bad, but it was a little boring. When I was there around episode 30, the anime was getting dark as Zeta, but they pulled the brake. The impression I have is that this anime had a lot of very different writers of each other, because the story varied too much.

One writer killed Leina, but another revived her mysteriously. I think that's why the low ratings overall.

I will particularly give a slightly higher rating than Zeta, because although Zeta has a better plot, the characters were unbearable. In ZZ, there is a mood of friendship and a humorous tone (although sometimes it is very bad), which makes the anime pleasant. Other than that the female cast is superior as well.

And Silent Voice is so far, Gundam's best opening.

Goodbye and good riddance. On to greener pastures!

Judau, your sense of fashion is still far above anything else seen in the anime world almost 40 years later.

Glemy, my boy what a simp. You had a big dream but you where nothing more than a pretty boy, way prettier than Char btw. The supposedly super hot stud of the entire show.... And that was about it, pretty much. You couldn't control a tween girl & win a fvcking war. Just GTFO my man.

Beecha, Oleg or what ever was your name. Grow a pair, get the girl, get laid, get paid and return to Shangri-La. Forget about being a Captain of a Starship, you don't have what's needed to be one.

The rest of the New Argama, meh return to Shangri-La and whatever.

Captain Bright just retire already, terrible Captain, you survived two wars because of good ol' plot armor, nothing more, nothing else.

So many people went through hell, seeing everyone around them die fighting for what they believed in, it was all for nothing, and yet, this ending dares to be optimistic. That right there, is ZZ at it's core, it may have been a slog at times sure, but it also had astronomic highs as well. ZZ is a show you can look back on, and say it was a good show, but it was a good show that you'll never forget. (7.5/10)

giving kamille and fa a hopeful ending after everything warms the heart in ways that cannot be described and for that reason i couldn't imagine myself ever skipping ZZ after zeta
watching this cast of characters grow was a great time even if some were more insufferable than others

People letting Judau and Haman fight in a one vs. one, almost like everyone knew this is the last episode.

So Judau ends up with Roux. I was half expecting it and half surprised to see it (the other half, I kinda thought he'd fix Haman). It does look out of nowhere, but do people forget that Beecha and Mondo said she had a thing for him from the beginning when they were with Glemy? I'd argue her constant fight with Elle did have something to do with their competing over Judau.

I love the hint that Kamille and Fa living happily ever after. Especially after what they went through in Zeta.

Took me 10 days to finish this series, three days longer than Zeta. Took me 6 days until episode 20 and then 4 days for the rest.

I'd give this series a 6, a score lower than 0079 and Zeta. Episode 21 until 36 were actually good, the theme was interesting (many sides to a war and yet they were all centering on a man's egotism), and some of the fights were just rad, probably cooler than the two previous series. I'd probably also give it a 7 (or higher) if only it kept the tone and pacing from episode 37 onward.

I liked the show, not gonna lie. But I disliked Judau's voice actor and the whole ambience of the Gundam Team seemed to me very childish, very indifferent to Neo Zeon and how the show started. Hell, I began to hate when they were starting to fight with opened cockpits.

The women from this show are as good as the ones in Zeta so they get an acceptable for me. My biggest complain is the lack of romance within Judau's harem. Roux stays with him but I never saw her even try to get close to Judau. Even Haman had more insinuations than her. I liked Elle but she wasn't mean to be for the main character. My favorite antagonist was Mashymre, terrific voice acting from his seiyuu. Chara Soon was good but too excentric for me. The rest of the side characters didn't make an impact like the ones from Zeta.

I tried to see Glemy as the masked guy from this Gundam, but his voice acting made me chuckle every time. Very funny tone of voice for the one trying to overthrow Haman. I really loved Haman Karn in this show, but I still think she didn't have enough screen time. I would have loved to know about her past in the anime, and why she is like that to every newtype she encounters.

I didn't like the ending and how she dies "honorably". I mean, she dropped a colony to Earth. why would she even try to be honorable. Still, she was a great character. I enjoyed the whole Bright Noa affair but was very shocked when he left the Nahel Argama to a bunch of misfits. Really liked both openings but the second one was extremely Haman-esque so that was my favorite one. Very one of a kind show in my opinion, since I'm used to amuros and chars in the UC. Good antagonists. but I liked Mashymre over Judau everyday.

6/10

I cannot believe how good that paint job was, it saved his life 3 times! guys just put it on on everything from now on!!

That was fun, the criticism is sharply on point though XD my highlight of the show was seeing Judau's change through the episodes
at the beginning he was busy dealing with the problems of his own little world, he was a ambitious teenager seeking riches with the objective of paying off his sister's school fees, then co-opted to work for the Argama when he displayed great combat skills. When his sister was taken captive he had no choice but to stop watching from the sidelines and dive into the conflict, his fiery determination to get her back quickly turned into compassion for all other innocent victims that like her, were being dragged into the conflict.
And after seeing how apathetic and irresponsible the higher ups are (his sincere frustration was so heart aching!) to the ruckus they're causing he decided to be more deeply involved, surely with the intention to be a force of good.

And as others have said before, HE IS COOL AF! ALL THE WOMEN/GIRLS WANTED TO BE WITH HIM AND DUDES WANT TO BE LIKE HIM!! (⌐■ᴗ■)

At least this was a well deserved happy ending for the gang. But good riddance, this series is finally over!

I'm fine with the slapstick comedy on the first few episodes. A change of vibe from the depressing and disappointing ending of Z. But as the story progresses it became annoying, too out of place and unfunny. A lot of characters made stupid decisions that made me frustrated.

I cannot say that it's better nor worse than Z. Compare to Z, ZZ has more inconsistency to the plot and too much unnecessary arc that serves no relevance to develop the story. This made me want to drop the series multiple times! There are still some epic moments but this doesn't make up overall.
