Jigokuraku 2nd Season

Jigokuraku is back with its second season and it is just as gorgeous as it was first season, the colors, the animation, the sound, the VA, everything is absolutely beautiful. This season unfolds some of the biggest mysteries and we get to witness some of the coolest shounen fights and YOU BET I AM EXCITED FOR THAT.

the most overlooked off the dark trio, what a disrespect when this is probably one of the most unique take on a shounen ... and our MC IS A WIFE LOVER, OH HOW I LOVE WIFE LOVERS !!! WE LOVE MEN WHO LOVE THEIR WIVES!!!!

Jigokuraku doesn't drag, it doesnt rush (maybe a little) but just the right amount and there is so much going to happen and i hope people notice it and give this show its flowers because it sure deserves it.

ALSO YUZURIHA I LOVE YOU MAMA, YOU THE BEST.

I'm obviously not through the entire season yet but the plot is seemingly going both nowhere and everywhere at once. Thank god we got past the sudden amnesia bit quickly enough, though there's still lingering questions there. My question is, do I care enough to keep watching past all of the annoying plant sex scenes.

I get it, these immortal creatures are meant to be otherworldly and terrifying. That's fine, but there's an awful lot of screentime for sex scenes in comparison to action or actually interesting plot development (unfortunately the sex is plot development half the time).

I'm not necessarily a prude or anything but, this ... also isn't the primary reason why I'm watching the show, so it feels like an imbalance of screentime overall. Will still give the remainder of the season a shot to see if some plot questions pay off, or if we just meander for awhile and drop off.

I hardly write reviews on anime but this is the exception. I really liked season 1 and I had to watch a recap video to remember what happened because it came out so long ago, perhaps that could be one of the reasons I didn't like this season. However, I really wanted to comment on the animation this season. This is definitely not mappas best work, they put their heart and soul into JUJUTSU kaisen and this show feels like the worst of the team got the job. I honestly got so bored that by the end of the third episode I decided to just ... drop it entirely.
