Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru

The infidelity of Eita Kidou's parents not only made his family fall apart, but also made him skeptic of love. Having no intention to delve into romance, Eita devotes his entire high school life to his studies in order to become a doctor.

It did not take long for the beautiful and popular Masuzu Natsukawa to notice Eita's apathy. Tired of being the object of people's affection, she asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend, as she too feels disgusted at the notion of love. Eita, however, refuses—yet Masuzu has one trick left up her sleeve: Eita’s journal and threatening to post the embarrassing content online if he does not comply.

Now entangled in a fake romance with the most desired girl at school, Eita's life is turned upside down. Whether envied by his peers or receiving a confession, he must cope with his newfound relationship and all the troubles that come along with it.

I'm going to recommend this one, but only just. My issues are not serious enough to claim I have mixed feelings over it. It is a harmless run of the mill harem show and it does what it says on the tin. What I like about it is the way Natsukawa keeps dipping into Eita's notebook and his unending embarrassment as she reads from it. (I'm a simple man)...
I'm not a fan of the art style. I think Natsukawa in particular doesn't look very human and as such it distracts me. If you told me she was actually a mermaid for example, I'd believe that. ... This flaw also makes her far less emotive than other characters, which detracts from the story. Is she meant to be a cold fish? The overarching story is not very good, but it makes up for it with the details and emotions of individual scenes. Plus we also have the fall-out of it being a harem, and having the majority of viewers being disappointed with who the MC chooses, but that never seems to stop Japan using this trope, so they obviously don't care about the outcome. Overall, watch it, enjoy it, tick it off your list and move on.

Mixed Feelings

The vast majority if this show is a decent harem anime, and most viewers that enjoy harem anime will probably enjoy the first 10-12 episodes of this series fairly well. It has some very good comedy, and has many references that anime fans in general will enjoy. As long as the blackmail plot line is bot a deal breaker, then this is a rather fun harem rom-com.

That being said, those who put a lot of value into satisfying endings will probably not enjoy this show. Without going into detail, the central conflict has a very unsatisfactory resolution that will probably make a lot of viewers ... uncomfortable, especially if they were already bothered by the blackmail plot line. On top of that, the final episode ends very abruptly in what feels like the middle of a scene. When the final credits appeared, I had to search online in order to double check that the show had actually ended there.

So in summary, it's a fun show that most fans of this genre will probably enjoy considerably. But viewers who prefer stories with satisfying and cathartic endings may want to avoid this one.

I swear, this anime is really bad in terms of story, plus Eita's character is annoying. I mean, if he doesn't like romance, he shouldn't have said "I'm anti-love" to his friend, but after someone confessed his feelings, he accepted it, which gives the impression of a cheap guy who is not marketable 😹, whoever the writer is I want to say you should write eita's character with real actions not just words.


In terms of art style, I found it a bit odd, perhaps? I wasn't a fan of the color palette, but the animation was still okay. Honestly, this is a typical throwaway, forgettable ... anime, and I don't think there's anything particularly unique about it.


This story actually has potential if executed correctly. I don't know who to criticize about this, the anime or the manga itself (but I haven't read the manga yet).
