Thanks for the recommendations. I watched the first couple of episodes of Gurran Lagann and I'm digging it so far. I can really see the Gainax DNA in this one and I really think I'm going to like it.
I haven't had a chance to check out Attack on Titan or Akira, but I added both to my watchlist and I will be sure to get to them.
