| Yeah, I think too, in fact, it's the best I've ever read/watch really used to love to love ru before because it has the potential of being the one but that ending lowered my expectations the only thing Go-toubun is lacking is that it can never end on a harem route. |

| If we talk about manga too, I don't no, there is a lot of them we don't know. It's difficult to approach this conclusion But in anime, yeah. If we use MAL tags it's maybe the only one with Saekano and Yamada-kun that I like a minimum. (Shuffle&Haganai too but I was young) Maybe Nisekoi, it wasn't that good but I can watch it easy. Haven't seen Kami Nomi&Ouran, probably the best one by reputation. But I don't know the criteria for the harem tag, Toradora or Clannad aren't tag for exemple, and there is a lot of anime like that. If we talk only about an anime based on multiple girls who loves the MC (and the reverse), I will say, yeah it's one of the best for me. Girls are cute, situations are more insteresting than lots of harem, even if the MC is pretty random it's easily one of the best harem. But it's not that difficult considering the level of the others one. |

| I'm only an anime watcher of this show and not a fan of harem genre yet I didn't expect as someone like me who will like Go-toubun. In a harem, there is always that annoying one girl that I really dislike the most, but I really love the five girls in this show and I'm okay with any of these girls to be the bride of Fuutarou. I also like the artstyle, it reminds me of a webcomic. Am I the only female who likes this show? I also like Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai. |

| I've only watched 2 harem anime so... But I prefer Gotoubun over Bokuben, so I guess it is the best harem anime I've watched ? However I plan to watch Ouran Koukou Host Club and it seems way better |

| The title "one of the best" is vague af. So I won't comment on that. The anime is pretty good, but it's definitely not the best Harem. Monogatari is the best Harem (which isn't even listed xDDD). KNZSS and Grisaia are good too. The upcoming Mushoku Tensei will hopefully top them all. |

| No I don't think its one of, or even a remotely good example of a decent harem anime. The only thing "Go-toubun no Hanayome" has going for it is, that its pretty. Now how did that famous quote go again... "a piece of shit with sprinkles on top, is still a piece of shit". I think is how it went. Three stereotypes that have been done, not to death, but beyond the grave: Nakano Itsuki Nakano Nino Nakano Yotsuba And two characters that I liked but didn't get nearly enough development, : Nakano Ichika Nakano Miku As for the protagonist... well, was there one even present, I can't remember. Maybe If something about him was memorable it was how unlikeable, generic and plain he was. |

| I was a huge fan of it, but later it turned to a your typical bait harem series. Hence I no longer like it, so definitely not the best. |

| Not even close, lmao. It's not bad at all, don't get me wrong, but it's super accessible to the masses by this genre's standards in almost the exact same vein series like Nisekoi were before it. It's very narrative oriented with the whole mystery girl from childhood schtick. It's lacking a lot of romcom elements and fanservice, even relative to other comparably accessible works like Nisekoi. It roots itself heavily in its narrative over all else almost. It's just lacking things that kind of gatekeep out a broader audience, and is closer to non-harem anime than something like To LOVE-Ru is structurally. That makes it easy for people digest and feel comfortable with, it removes elements they consider weird for whatever reason. That's why you see so many people talk about it, including those who aren't usually into harem anime. That's why the mean score is relatively well-off for a harem series. Hell, it's probably why we're here talking in this thread trying to say. With niche genres and types of anime, you always have to factor accessibility in, because that will affect things like score and broader attention given. Gotoubun is a very accessible series by harem standards. Just like Monogatari was, just like Nisekoi was, et cetera. And, naturally, the follow up to that is pointing out that broader accessibility doesn't at all mean that it's higher quality. I think it's a good series, but it's nowhere close to being one of the best that is up for offering for harem anime. It's certainly up there in terms of being widely accessible and capable of appealing to a broader audience, though, yes, and if the metric were breadth of potential appeal and not quality relative to other harem anime, I'd probably agree. But nah, I don't think it belongs in the all time best harem anime discussion at all, and I also really doubt it's going to have staying power long-term. More than something like Nyan Koi or OniAi, I guess, sure, but talk on it has already died down quite a bit compared to just a few months ago when it was more or less ubiquitous, even in the wake of a second season announcement. Also, let's see how well this thread ages whenever the fandom for this series inevitably burns itself alive like Nisekoi's did whenever the choice was made in the end. It's going to be great. |

| No. Never was. The answer is Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai. The most unique MC in a harem setting and the most unique ending. Broke so many troupes I don't know even. And the only harem story that actually got better with time. Go-toubun is not as good as it was up until the Scrambled Eggs arc. Negi probably doesn't know what to do with his quints anymore because there have been severe consistency issues since the bell incident which will be covered in S2. |

EVERY TIME WITH THIS DUMB FUCKING TROPE, and the winner didn't have any big stand out moments compared to the other two I preferred either Dosnt the first girl usually apply to the first girl introduced which was itsuki I apply it to both Itsuki and Yotsuba, since in context, Yotsuba was the first to meet him when they were kids, which also checks off the "childhood friend" trope as well. It's just the same thing all over again with these harems, and if Yotsuba really does win, I'm probably just gonna stop reading harem manga and maybe even romance in general. The girls I pick usually never win and it's always because of dumb writing, and don't get me started on how horrible the ending for SNS was. |

That just shows they already knew how little development she had compared to Miku, Nino, and even Itsuki. I honestly hope it isn't Yotsuba, but it'll be ridiculous if she is. She's been third in popularity, way behind Miku and Nino (who have a good chunk of the fans) while slightly over Itsuki and Ichika. For the third fan favorite to win for stupid reasons is just gonna piss off fans who more than likely won't read his next series after how this one ends |

He started adding more hints between the two of them in the side comics and even a coloring book for fun. So by him catering to the majority fanbase, it made their love for the series grow as well. And either way, Negi just pulled two tropes on us again. First girl and lost childhood friend. If it was Miku or Nino, it would've been actually different and more respected but now people are just confused as to how Yotsuba ended up winning in reality when she was hiding all the time being Rena and even kissing him without him knowing when he was asleep. That doesn't give me best girl vibes, this is just a sad safe option |

He better explain things properly with these remaining chapters, if not then this was wasted potential Well everyone has their own preferences. The only ony I would have problem with would be Itsuki, rest are will set and well developed characters |

| For me, for a pure high school (without superpower stuff) harem genre, yes. Its my favorite. The writer can keep subtle about the chosen girl and i just like how all of them are quintuplets which allows unique and wholesome interactions. The MC is quite likeable for this genre. Tho it has it shares of problems Then again, Harem is my least favorite genre and i only follows a few title so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ |

| The manga became a bit of a mess that lost sight of itself. The girls are cute at least. |

| Honestly this has been one of the best series that I have ever read. It is so wholesome and keeps everything real, not BS and no distractions from the plot. |

Which would have been more predictable If majority of your fanbase likes one of the main girls more compared to the others and you don't pick her, then expect a lot of people to be pissed off since Miku and Nino were the main girls that were focused on for the majority of the story. I'd even say that Itsuki contributed more as well, since she was around Fuutarou's family a lot too. Same thing happened with SNS and its ending. The last few arcs were the lowest points of the series, and people were just sticking around to see Erina and Soma hook up and possibly get married at the end. And when the author didn't do that, they obviously have a right to me mad despite the fact there were so many hints for it to happen. You don't cater to the fanbase and give them the most logical thing they want to happen in your series, they're gonna get upset. Look what happened to the SNS fanbase after Yuuto messed up his entire storyline. I'm not saying every author/writer should do this, but for this series it makes more sense for Nino/Miku to be one of the winners. Ichika screwed her chances, Itsuki didn't show any real romantic interest in him most of the time, and Yotsuba got some rushed random development after chapter 90 after being revealed to be Rena. It wasn't natural like the other two, who majority of people liked more. |

I understand being sad or frustrated that your favorite girl didn't win, seriously I do, but at the end of the day, this isn't your story. The author can do whatever they want with their series, and they shouldn't be forced to alter their own vision just because the fandom has consensus favorites. Expecting them to change what they originally had in mind for THEIR story just because you want it to be different is kinda childish honestly. |

Try Grand Blue(manga is better)! its a harem that has fan service for both genders. I didn't think I would enjoy 5-tobun(manga) as much as I did honestly and I'm contemplating why it stands out. I think its the pacing and elastic characters. |
