Witajcie!

Trochę mojej podcastowej historii...
Lata temu, prowadziłem z kilkoma znajomymi podcast. Było to dawno temu, było to w jukeju i trwało tylko rok. Niestety. Ale od tamtego czasu cały czas miałem "głód" na prowadzenie kolejnego, bycie chociaż jego częścią.

Skąd pomysł?
Na ostatnich Oldschoolowych Leśnych Manewrach w Łodzi osobiście poznałem Sapera z portalu / kanału / profilu Bastion. Też jest to osoba zajarana Warhammerem 40k, tylko z innej strony. Saper jeździ po turniejach, filmuje relacje i mecze z tak zwanych "pierwszych stołów".
Po krótkiej rozmowie na żywo i kilku wiadomościach wymienionych na fejsie padł pomysł ruszenia z podcastem.

Czym będziemy się zajmować? 
Przede wszystkim Warhammerem 40k, sceną turniejową i nowościami. Ale nie tylko. Gramy w różne gry, więc pewnie czasami wspomnimy to i owo o innych systemach (w tym odcinku rozmawiamy o Age of Sigmar).

Jak często będzie pojawiał się odcinek?
To zależy od ilości materiału. Nie chciałbym już w tym momencie narzucać nam terminów, ale sądzę, że raz na miesiąc na pewno się spotkamy. Może co dwa tygodnie.

Gdzie znajdę odcinki?
Na chwilę obecną pojawiać się będą zarówno na moim kanale jak i na kanale Bastion. Ta forma jest najbardziej przystępna moim zdaniem, ale nie wykluczam, że możliwe jest wrzucenie pliku audio na libsyn lub podbean w przyszłości.

Przed wami... pierwszy odcinek pilotażowy. Nie mamy nawet tytułu, ale chcieliśmy iść za ciosem i zrobić pierwszy odcinek póki mamy jeszcze entuzjazm i energię. Reszta przyjdzie z czasem.


I tutaj dla was szansa bo potrzebujemy nazwy!


Szukamy czegoś co niekoniecznie powiąże nasze dwa blogi / portale ale na pewno będzie kojarzyć się z Warhammerem 40k. Jak wymyślisz coś fajnego i zdecydujemy się przyjąć taką nazwę, otrzymasz fanty ;) Nazwa musi być polsko języczna, lub pochodzić z terminologi 40tki.

Na odpowiedzi czekamy do piątku 31 lipca.

As you probably realise I am not much of a gamer recently. I keep building and painting models for myself. I keep painting models for others, but rarely have I got time to actually play the games I love. Recently one game caught my war gaming balls in a clenched fist of pain dealing and I started playing, you guessed it, Dystopian Wars.

I forgot how cool and exciting it is to discover the rules with a mate across the table. You want to do something with a model (move, attack, board) and you don't know how. You both open up the book and look for answers. That is the thing I kept missing from online gaming. Yes, you can chat with people, but rarely there is anything more than insults and jesting there.
I and my mate Mike we spent yesterday early afternoon on cracking Dystopian's rule system. Especially the planes and tiny flyers and how combat works. We had to, unfortunately, have a look on YouTube and watch couple tutorials on the subject and were both disappointed with the quality of tutoring. We decided, the the whole All Along the Watchtower Podcast crew will endevour the making of good quality clips for YouTube that will show beginners how to play this game.

Apart from Dystopian Wars, I have been painting, yes. I started working on 10 Ork Burnas and 8 Lootas and I am trying to finish 9 Squigs for my Orcs. Pictures will follow soon.

Me and and the gang went to Salute in London. With our 'professional' recording equipment we recorded six interviews with Wargames Illustrated / Battlferont, Plastic Soldier, Hassllefree Miniatures, EM4 Miniatures, Kallistra and Baueda Wargames.

All in all Salute was good fun. Much more fun than Games Day 2009, the last one I went to. So many different games, different people, ideas. Great fun! If you ever have a weekend off and live nearby, do go. You won't regret it!

Phew... I will be busy until mid April, at least! Luckily I will have a fun day at Salute where me and the gang (literally, there's like 30 of us going in a pack) will be recording a special episode of the podcast. That shall be fun!

We have got Battlefront, Wargames Illustrated, Hasslefree, Kallistra, EM4 Miniatures confirmed... fun will be had.

As soon as I finish the first commission, the Kommandos I will rush over here to post a picture. It HAS to be by Friday night. The customer wants to use them in the tourney on Saturday! Pressure! :D

So... it's episode four! 4... We have been doing the podcast for two months now. 4 episodes, 1 special in 8 weeks. I think it's pretty good!

I think it was two months since I last posted anything. It was due to the fact that I didn't have my laptop with me. Stupid Comet kept it in repair for that long. But fear not! I will update my painting and modelling achievements soon. Also, I started podcasting with my mate Mike. I will be posting links to the episodes over here too but we should soon be on iTunes (application sent) so there will be a link too.

Couple busy day behind me. Couple things happened, big things. There are some things ahead of me. But I should cut the crap and get to the point. Stop stalling and tell you what happend.

First of all our FLGS Wargames Heaven has closed down for good. Don't know why they closed down, but as a Polish saying goes: if you don't know what is it all about, it's about money. But why was I busy? I am helping them out with getting rid of stock. So if you need any GW or Vallejo paints, give me a shout in the comments, hehe. I also got AT43, Urban War and some GW books and Tyranid models. I had to sort them things into boxes. Sorting out paints took me two days... yes; I got loads!

With the shop closure we lost our club. So we needed to find a new place to play our games. We found a pub, organised ourselves, started a forum and a Facebook page and we are ready to roll. The club is called Call of Dice. Here is the forum and here is the Facebook page. We are located in Brighton, UK, so if you are from around here you need to come and visit. It's not only wargaming club; we also play card and board games.

Also, we need a shop that will stop the GW monopoly in our area. So... there are ideas, there are people, there are plans. Now we need money, as always.
Also, on a related note me and couple mates are thinking of starting a podcast. A general gaming podcast. We should record first episode soon, maybe in the begining of November. Three of us should make an awesome show or so I hope. There's no website for it yet, but soon there will be and you will be the first ones to know about it.

Becuase of all this I didn't have much time for my commission work and that has put me a little behind the schedule. I'm still working on my Crimson Fists, Lizardmen and some Goblins... busy busy time ahead of me.
