A great efficient way to top up a…

A great efficient way to top up a mobile SIM when travelling overseas. I bought a Mexico Telcel Amigo sim from an online marketplace and once I arrived in Mexico I put in this SIM, loaded up the mobile recharge app when connected to airport WIFI and sent myself some airtime credit. Worked flawlessly and it’s the second time I have used this platform with no issues whatsoever. Recommended with no reservations.

Review of Kitchen Sinks & Taps

Check for presence of serial numbers

Having had our kitchen refurbished, I decided we would fit a Quooker boiling water tap. Having searched high and low, the best price we found was from this company at £1026 (RRP was £1300). Delivery was prompt but I immediately noticed that the box was damaged and the tap tank was missing a serial number sticker. I queried this with KS&T and was informed that this was not a problem and the box had simply been opened to check the contents and all was fine. I took their explanation, but I did ask for confirmation that the item was genuine and was covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and was told it was. A few days later, I tried to register the Quooker using the serial code on a hanging tag provided in the box. The code did not work so I simultaneously sent emails to both Quooker themselves and KS&T. I was messaged by KS&T and they told me that they would check with their supplier. Quooker contacted me and informed me that I should seek a refund from KS&T as they were not an approved stockist and they asked me to check if the serial number was on the box (no), tank (no) or braided tap hose (no) and they said that as these identifiers were missing (removed) the item was not able to be registered so if there was a fault with it I would not be covered. I don’t want to get into details about subsequent conversations but the UK MD of Quooker rang me following my message to them and confirmed I should seek a return and refund from KS&T and they were very helpful in providing me with a tap direct from them at a substantial discount (Quooker themselves were a great company to deal with). I emailed KS&T and asked for an immediate refund. Courtney was prompt and helpful in arranging a collection and full refund so I cannot fault them for this. So, service from Courtney was good but I was deeply concerned by the serial number issues and had I not challenged it (or had I delayed registering) I may have found myself with an expensive tap which was not covered under warranty. My advice is to always check the presence and validity of serial numbers for an item as expensive as this.

I cannot say enough good things…

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I bought a Flex tap from another online retailer and there were problems with the tap and the validity of the serial number (long story). I contacted Quooker for advice what to do and they could not have been more helpful. Adam, one of the team leaders, was so helpful and arranged a replacement tap with next day delivery at a very favourable price. Not only this, but the UK MD rang me to follow up on the issues with the other supplier and offer words of reassurance. It’s not very often you get this level of service. Responses were quick, courteous and above all helped resolve an issue which was not of their making, but where they still went above and beyond.

Much improved customer experience

I’ve been guilty of being (very and vocally) critical about FireAngel in the past (mainly due to delays in replacing faulty alarms) but I am pleased that my most recent experience was much improved. My gateway failed and Gemma was able to sort this quickly and efficiently, the replacement reaching me after only a few days. Gemma then swapped over my licence and the device worked perfectly.

Quick and effective mobile fitting

Having kerbed my wheel and damaged my tyre on the way to work, I needed a quick fix and found the mobile fitting experience easy and effective. The fitter arrived on time and was polite.

Great, prompt service with no hassles

It was my first time getting a personalised plate and everything was smooth, efficient and very clear. I opted to register online with DVLA myself but the company could have done this on my behalf for a fee if I wanted. Everything was sorted from having the idea of a personalised plate through to getting them legally on my car in little over a week. Would definitely use again.

Smooth transaction but cosmetic inspection process is unforgiving

The actual process of selling a car is very straightforward and I received funds within an hour. Just be aware that the price quoted online is much higher than you will actually receive. I had a beautiful Freelander 2 HSE with loads of added extras (including £1000 stereo), very good condition, clean, 10 plate, 176k miles on clock. Quoted £3525 online, offered £2500 after inspection. Apparently due to paint and stone chips on every panel. It’s a well looked after ten year old car so initial valuation assumes showroom condition. We negotiated back up to £3k as I was prepared to walk away. Overall, smooth transaction and avoided hassle of using eBay or autotrader. Just be prepared that you’ll likely get 10 - 20 percent less than online estimate.
