Fremantle, the production and distribution powerhouse behind hit formats such as “Got Talent” and “Idols,” has unveiled its lineup of original formats heading to next week’s TV market Mipcom in Cannes.

The lineup includes recently launched investigative reality series “Master of the Game,” a fresh take on the psychological reality genre from France, and brand-new formats such as action-packed Norwegian competition reality series “Heist Academy” and “The Hiding Game.” Also joining the lineup is Denmark’s social reality series “Exposed,” and epic adventure reality format “The Lost Ones: Ultimate Decision,” from Demark. U.S. dating series “Couple to Throuple” completes the bill.

Exclusive: Nicola Lloyd, the ex-ITV commissioner who used to oversee Gordon Ramsay, Gino D’Acampo and Bradley Walsh shows, has taken up the Creative Director post at The Apprentice producer Naked.

Lloyd left ITV over the summer after eight years amid a circa-200-person layoff program at the same time as her factual entertainment co-commissioner Satmohan Panesar. She takes up the role vacated by Tom O’Brien last year, who was promoted to replace Fatima Salaria as Managing Director of Fremantle-backed producer Naked. Following 10 weeks of chaotic “third” swapping at an idyllic resort in Panama City, the starring couples and the sexy singles they dated made only the vaguest plans for their post-show futures. The unscripted business has had a somewhat tumultuous twelve months but things have been picking up in 2024 with a number of network and streamer commissions and renewals.

NBC’s unscripted bosses Corie Henson and Rachel Smith weighed in on the state of the unscripted universe during a TCA panel.

Henson, who is EVP, Entertainment Unscripted Content and looks after NBC and Peacock’s competition shows and entertainment formats, said she was proud of picking up The Traitors for a third season, midway through its second season, and has Love Island USA returning for season 6 this summer.

“As a snapshot of where we are on the format side, we are open, we are buying. We are encouraging people to come in with their big ideas,” she said.
