First Shift

One of those movies that probably won't have anything that really sticks with you long term but there isn't really anything egregiously bad here. Some fun scenes, and a couple interesting scenes of action. Some dialogue is quite awkward and some parts of the movie feel like the characters had no reason to do what they ended up doing but I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking from this. Uwe Boll has made many a bad movie in his time but this is definitely on the better end of his catalogue. I think that the overly negative reviews may be in part to his notorious reputation since over the years he has attracted a vast array of trolls.

This was a really generic cop drama that is almost a ridiculous stereotype of the genre. Eastwood did the exact same movie over and over in the Dirty Harry franchise. But worse, its obviously a pilot for a tv series that no one bought.

Uwe Boll has always been a hack, but this seems more like a director for hire tv movie right out of the 70s.

All that said, I liked the cast. I hope this earns them some more roles. It wasnt their fault the story wandered all over the place, and really had no plot or direction. The ending leaves you looking for the next episode. Its not a bad watch, and I dont feel like I wasted 90 minutes, but it just isnt original at all.

Reading the info on this I went into it thinking it would be a good view, I don't put too much thought into a movie except that it's a break from reality for an hour and a half of entertainment but quite honestly this one was kinda boring, the acting was definitely B movie rating, storyline was all over the place and the characters don't really pull you in too well, main character seems guarded but at the same time opens up messing it up for us as viewers, no spoilers here but I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone as like I said, it is on the boring side and one of those movies where you will watch it one time and never again.

I hate when people write review in the stance that their view is the final view point . Sure you can say you did not like it but don't act like you are a Variety Critic. I thought the two main actors were very good and I like the flow of the film . The gradual connection between partners is true to life as I have had many work partners myself and it takes time to warm up to them and know they are competent and have your back. The side stories are spliced in well and seamlessly add to this short movie. Hope to see a part two like it says. Yes there are different viewers with differing reasons to like a movie. So don't be deterred by a narrow minded , self gratuitous review saying unwatchable.
