James McMenamin is an American actor with over 20 years of experience performing on stage and film. He is perhaps best known for his television work on the NBC series Manifest, and the Netflix series Orange is the New Black for which he received a SAG award for best ensemble. Stage highlights include the 2015 Broadway revival of Of Mice and Men starring James Franco, and the 2024 Broadway revival of Gypsy starring Audra McDonald.

He is a native of Central Pennsylvania where he began acting in the Danville High School Drama Club, and received a degree in theatre performance from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He received a year of professional training as an intern at the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, as well as 4 summers of instruction at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

He resides in The New York City suburbs with his wife and two sons.
