SO BAD. SO SO SO BAD.

I was REALLY wanting to like this movie. The acting is so bad; like, worse than a Lifetime Movie bad. Like, if acting students that didn't make the cut for a prestigious acting school made a movie... but worse. So... newbie actors that used their "lessons" too literally, and completely over-acted, but also just weren't good at it? Screenplay is a C-, at best. Not even laughable it is so bad. Plot holes are in the hundreds... but wait, there isn't really a plot what either. Remember that movie from a million years ago called KIDS... or have you ever seen an "adult film" that attempts a script and "plot?" It's like that. But so much worse. Giving it a 2 for effort.

teaching and romantic, but too sad

This is one movie that is much different than all other I watched, it is much more spiritual, emotional, psychological, and religious. Did not see any horror in here tough. It gives us insight into relationships, love, life, other people. It teaches us that love and anything in life can't be forced, that not everything can be predicted, planned, and intended. It motivated me to be more careful about relationships, to avoid any possible extortion, forcing, and excessive obsession, to simply do nothing by realizing that relationships is not the guaranteed or reliable way to hapiness. There are strong feelings of romance, love, sadness, hope. But sadness dominates, so I can say this movie is too negative, too sad. Not sad that much in it's events, there are definitely worse events even in more amateur movies, but some background sadness, which is kind of warning, teaching, and inspirational for us. Good thing is that this movie is very real by it's topic and acting, and good to watch for young people today who are just, or who have not yet, fell in love, especially because today population is higher and internet makes any such occurrences and following problems more likely to happen. Honestly this movie motivated me to simply be more satisfied, careful, and to in most cases simply do nothing, instead of getting involved in unnecessary drama or effort. Actors do look good for romantic movies, perfect example.

Even though a lot if this was predictable if you've seen a lot of movies, I was riveted.

I've seen my fair share of "girl captive" movies, and much of this was predictable (not all of it). However, the actors were so good, I couldn't take my eyes off of the film. That was also due to its thriller, "escape," angle, of course. You'll miss a lot if you look away. MISSING-- I wanted to KNOW each of these characters as people a lot more. We learn almost nothing. BERLIN SYNDROME was an excellent, bigger budget film that did this well. However, considering this was a low budget indie--I was impressed.

    An unexpected pleasure

I'm sure if you're reading this you're one of us. You know, we love to scour through Prime hoping to find a worthwhile and sometimes even an excellent unknown film. Well this is just that. Excellent I thought. I agree with others that I'd like to have seen the actual story leading up to the imprisonment, but not a deal breaker by any means.

Brooke Devlin, whom I'd never seen before was fantastic. I'll admit it was difficult to suppress the fact that she is astonishingly gorgeous and just focus on her character. She made it much easier by portraying Claire so well. Her expressions, tone and mannerisms were exquisite. I really thought she was amazing and will be looking for her in other projects. By all means watch this movie. It's got many philosophical concepts that I won't go into. Watch and enjoy.

    Be aware of fake reviews

As you can see this one is full of fake reviews and not only are they fake they're trying to trick you into thinking there legit! Don't be fooled people anyone giving this film more than a 3 Star rating either know someone on the film or they are getting paid to fake it..i couldn't sit through the entire movie i would've probably stuck a gun in my mouth but that's just my opinion and it's an honest one too..

Filmed over only 7 days as a no-budget feature. The director has been quoted as saying this feature "...was an exercise in simplicity, we didn't have a lot but we wanted to prove that this team could create something compelling with minimal funds. If you can't make something with a micro budget, you don't deserve a real budget."
    • Goofs
When William is confronting Claire after chaining her to the sink in the bathroom, a large shadow clearly moves against the wall behind William, even though both of them are still, and there are no curtains that could be blowing to cause it.
