I have no problem with the review done on Chowder, but I question the accuracy of whoever put the data together. I am wondering why some of the voice actors get credit for over 60 episodes? Season 1 and 2 had 20 episodes, I have looked everywhere I could find information on this series, and could not find any mention of there being 60 or more episodes. Season 3 had 9, and there were 3 commercials done, adding up to 52. Are there some episodes unaccounted for and/or unaired? I love Chowder, and wish it was still on air, with new episodes... Is there some compelling reason it left us so quickly? Genius work! Mung Daal is my favorite character btw.
About a year ago Chowder started playing on Cartoon Network and I have been a fan since day one! This show is about Chowder, a cat, bear bunny thing that is an apprentice of Mung Daal, a very old blue man. Mung is the greatest cook in the world and makes funny dishes such as Beveled eggs and Crabige cobbler. All of the food names are puns. Ex:Blutter (butter)I am 16 and not a lot of people I know watch it because they say cartoons are for kids. I really don't care because I am enjoying Chowder too much. Most of the T.V I watch are cartoons. But if you like The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack I can guarantee that you will like Chowder twice as much. This show is great for kids and also for adults. I watch it with my 6 year old sister and my 35 year old father and we all laugh until it hurts! The reason most older people watch this show is because it has a lot of adult humor but is still very appropriate for all ages. You are making a very big mistake if you are saying, "I don't watch cartoons" Because you are missing out on one of the funniest shows on T.V. Give it a chance.
I like a lot of Cartoon Network cartoons, and when I heard of Chowder, I was somewhat skeptical. It looked good, but I had heard it was rubbish. Actually, Chowder isn't rubbish at all. It is the sort of show you love or hate, but I love it. It is different I agree, but what's wrong with being different? Nothing.
The animation is colourful and vibrant, and while the character designs may be unusual at first I kept reminding myself it's all part of being different. The music is also great, and the writing is witty and hilarious. The story lines are good as well, as are the characters. Again, they are not for everyone but like the show they are the sort of characters you love or hate. Personally, while they can have their corny and annoying moments I find them endearing. And the voice work is fine.
All in all, different and fun to watch. 9/10 Bethany Cox

Honestly this series comes from a creator who's done Grim and Spongebob. So it seems like a lot of the material is recycled. But this show reminds me of the first season of Spongebob greatly underrated. The writing seems excellent but I think they need better directors. The jokes look good but you get the feeling it could of been way funnier. Chowder himself is a funny and adorable character who is greatly voice acted but the real character who shine are Mung and Schnitzel. Seriously the voice acting is great in this show how you can make as great of character as Schnitzel(who only says Rada) is ridiculous. Mung is breath of fresh air in TV cartoons. While new cartoons are opting for a more edgy (Mr. Krabs, Kanuckles) type mentor character. Mung does a really good job of standing out he's witty, funny, and loud mouthed. Anyway it's beautifully animated has excellent potential and I hope itdoesn't get canceled before its time.
I am a junior in high school, and I have been raised on cartoons. I was raised with great shows such as Ed Edd n Eddy, Rocko's Modern Life, Dexter's Laboratory, Courage, and Johnny Bravo. However, I have come to find that today's cartoons are awful. I will sometimes check out Cartoon Network to see what is playing, and I ended up with horrible dribble such as George of the Jungle, Camp Lazlo, Ben 10, Flapjack, and Johnny Test. However, my faith was resurrected when I happened to come across an interesting new show called Chowder...
Let me just say that Chowder is AWESOME! I won't tell you much about it so you can see for yourself, but let me tell you that this is a completely original and hilarious cartoon. I laugh a lot whenever I watch it. The show has an almost psychedelic element to it, which makes it fun to watch. The show has some great characters, interesting plot lines, great voices, and unique animation. I love everything about it. The story revolves around food (the main character is a chef's apprentice.) Everyone on the show has some kind of food for a name, which include Chowder, Mung-Daal, Shnitzel, Truffles, Penneni, Endive, Gorgonzola, Gespatcho, Chestnut, and Reuben. The humor is usually original and is sometimes completely twisted. Half the time I forget that the show was made for kids, because the humor can be truly appreciated by adults. It's just a great show overall.
If you feel that good 'ol cartoons are dead, this show is definitely worth a look. Who knows, maybe you'll change your mind about cartoons...

- WissenswertesA distinctive visual motive is the patterns on the characters' clothing/skin staying the same. The patterns are developed as a full-screen image and then sent to the production house, where the characters are modified to fill the patterns in over the character skin/clothing. With this technique, when a character moves, their patterns do not follow but are displayed as a "static" background.
- Crazy CreditsAt the end of the closing credits, the Cartoon Network logo opens to reveal Chowder dragging a sack of food. He pulls out an O from the "Cartoon" and munches on it like a donut; but as he walks off, an apple drops from the sack, and the logo closes with the apple replacing the O.
- Alternative VersionenThe first airings of the show didn't include the puppet segments during the end credits. Instead it had still photos shown from episodes that were played.
