This mayn't be my favourite cartoon or show ever, but it is an outstanding show. Is it quite as good as Rocko's Modern Life? No, but that doesn't stop it from being enjoyable.
The animation has a unique style to it, and works really well, and the music is great too. And I loved the clever and funny writing, and the engaging and original stories. Also I found the characters really endearing and funny, Lazlo is certainly very likable, and so are Raj and Clam. My favourite character though is probably Slinkman. On top of that, the voice work is excellent.
In conclusion, this show is outstanding. 10/10 Bethany Cox

Camp Lazlo is the best new combo kid/adult cartoon since the Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy. It's not surprising, given that it includes the talents of Tom Kenny, Joe Murray, and some of the other creative geniuses behind the revolution in comedic cartoons we've witnessed over the last decade. It's a worthy successor to some of the recent generation of outstanding Nick cartoons like Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob.
The voices are superb and the writing is sharp. For better or worse, cartoons seem to be nearly the only medium in which you can use accents - acceptable because they are married to two-dimensional animals rather than human beings - without overt accusations of political incorrectness. In Camp Lazlo, the vocal work provides texture against the dialog, giving it an aural depth that, odd as it may seem, children's television has maintained while adult fare has lost. And no, it is not offensive at all.
I highly recommend everyone check this new show out, because it is deserving of your time.

It seems that cartoons aren't treating kids like idiots anymore.
It was by chance one Saturday afternoon while channel surfing that I came across Camp Lazlo and the first thing that struck me was the resemblance of the animation to Rocko's Modern Life - and why not? It's made by the same person who created that show.
Young kids would be taken in by the speed at which things happen in each episode - there is no time to stop and think about what is going on nor is there any need to. Pure entertainment with no lesson to be learned at the end of the show.
It's all typical little boy behavior and insanity at Camp Kidney on the shores of Leaky Lake, with the only creature approaching any form of sanity being a slug named Slinkman - at least I think he's slug. He does have legs after all.
Where there's trouble, Lazlo the Brazillian Spider Monkey will be found smack bang in the middle of it with his two best friends, Raj the Indian Elephant and Clam the Pygmy Albino Rhino doing their best to keep up with him, leaving the rest of the gang of Bean Scouts to just go in whatever direction Lazlo and company pull them.
Watching over it all with a deep desire to escape is Scoutmaster Lupus (or Lumpus as everyone else calls him). This is one Scoutmaster you wouldn't want looking after your kids for any length of time.
Highly recommended for anyone who feels like an escape from the rat race and a few good laughs.

This is one of the best animated shows on TV. Maybe one of the best in the last five years, right up there with SpongeBob. Now I'm not the type of person who likes trying new shows. My philosophy is "im not gonna waste my time on this, there is something better on TV". but one day I gave it a shot and did not regret it. It was great!! I love the comedy in it. The creators of this must be comical geniuses. I'm an older "kid" i guess, and i usually don't watch Cartoon Network and Nick but I made an exception.
There are so many good things about this show. It is funny, it is entertaining, it is just good!!!!!!!!!!!!! A lot of the people that made Camp Lazlo made and are still making SpongBob Square Pants. They did a great job with SpongeBob and they are doing a great job with Camp Lazlo. Joe Murray did it with Rocko's Modern Life and now he is doing it with Camp Lazlo. I cant say enough.

I don't know who wouldn't enjoy this cartoon. It reminds me of cartoons that I watched when I was little. It is fun for the whole family (my nieces and I watch it together and love it). In other words, it can make kids from 5 to 50 laugh, and I honestly think that it is clean wholesome and fun. Who ever wrote the other comment about this show, just ignore, if you like watching things like family guy then you probably wouldn't like a cartoon that is Y7. I would highly recommend this cartoon for the more conservative parent. Like I said, I am older and think its funny. Who wouldn't enjoy the adventures of a happy go lucky monkey, an elephant who is afraid of bugs and a rhino who speaks in two or three word sentences? Not to mention a cast including a sour, jealous platypus, a gerbil that is a hypochondriac, two dung beetles that are not quite smart, and my personal favorite, a sour, geeky moose who is in love with the scout mistress across the lake for their scout master. They also have a health guru chef, and a whole cast of squirrel scouts, the girls of the series.

- WissenswertesThe show is based on Joe Murray's childhood experiences at summer camp (he said he attended summer camp every summer for "4 or 5 years in a row" and that he "couldn't really get the scouting thing down".)
- PatzerIn the main intro, it says that Lazlo, Clam, and Raj met and then went to camp. However, they show that Lazlo got to camp in a fruit truck instead of the bus, and met Raj and Clam at camp.
- Zitate
Lazlo: You're like the brother I never had.
Raj the Elephant: And you're like the puppy my parents never let me have.
- Crazy CreditsThe Cartoon Network logo opens up to show Lazlo blowing a trumpet, which Lumpus shoves a cork in.
