This second part is how producers could shown that they made a big mistake by getting actors who couldn't act, or directors who couldn't direct. They learned from that. This is part two and much much better than part one. It starts of with a dream, you are immediately in the movie. When the killer appears they only made one mistake with the chainsaw. Watch close when you see it penetrating Jason, you could easily see the mistake, anyway, I thought, o no, not again a bad movie. But then we get to learn the persons, this time they could act, they are less shameless, the girls I mean, than in the first part where they wear underwear that made you go aaaaaaaaaarghhhhhh. The score is better, editing is better, effects are better, there is more blood and more gore in it, decapitations, mutilations, full frontal nudity, first person views, it got all the ingredients to make it a good slasher. And there are a few plots in it that you couldn't suspect. For a low budget one it is surely watchable. Unavailable here in Europe, you really have to buy it in Australia like I did, maybe in the states. One of the franchises that is better then the first part, buy it.
It's been five years since Trevor Moorehouse terrorized Camp Placid Pines, piling up bodies like cords of wood and now he returns! Coming to Placid Pines is difficult for Tracy, who's brother, Jason, was one of Trevor's victims near the end of the original. When Tracy's nightmares begin to come true as one by one the counselors are murdered. Someone is hunting them through the pitch-black forest and is determined to kill them all.
After hearing about how bad the first movie is supposed to be, it made me want to see them. You know, to see how bad they really were. I had never gotten the chance to see the first Bloody Murder movie until recently though I had seen Bloody Murder 2 last year. Now that I have seen both I can compare them to one another. This sequel is a step-up in every single way possible compared to its first movie. The killer looks cooler, the acting is better (but still not all that good), the atmosphere is a better (mostly at night time) and they've toned down the many ideas which were stolen from other movies.
Even though this film seems like your typical, low-budget slasher movie there's something about Trevor Moorehouse that kept me thinking. I still don't know if it was actually him doing the killings or someone just trying to imitate him like in the first movie. Either it's intentional or they forgot to clear that up in the second movie, which was probably the case as I doubt the people responsible for this film are rocket scientists. I'll just leave it with a guess, Trevor Moorehouse did it.
If you enjoyed the first film, you can't go wrong with this one. If you didn't like the first film but enjoy slasher movies, give it a try. If you don't like slasher movies in general, don't bother with this.

It's hard to imagine why anyone would want to make a sequel to a piece of garbage like the first picture, but for some reason they did and, happily, it is much better than the first one. It's amazing what a little nudity and gore will do to improve an otherwise unoriginal slasher flick, but it looks like the producers had enough sense to go for the lowest common denominator on this one with the result of a watchable, albeit generic, slasher flick. Nothing to rave about and the ending is totally stupid, but it delivers the goods for what movies like this are intended for.
Superior, but totally unremarkable sequel finds yet another group of youths heading for trouble when they unwisely ignore the warnings about rumored chain saw wielding serial killer Trevor Moorehouse. More blood, more guts, more sex, and more thrills then the original effort ever provided, but nothing we haven't already seen a 1000 times before. And done better at that!
The infamous red-herring Trevor Moorehouse returns for round 2 with "Bloody Murder 2," a beefed up, sexed up sequel to the generally cheesy direct-to-video original. Everything you hated about (or laughed about) the original "Bloody Murder" is rectified here. Whereas the first one had zero gore, this one packs on the red stuff, especially with the first murder, which had me squirming in my seat. There is also an abundance of sex & nudity in general (props to Tiffany Shepis) that help enhance the enjoyment of the movie (don't feel guilty -- these flicks are pretty superficial to begin with). Heck, even the acting is better -- although I wouldn't go as far as to say it was good, just an improvement. The characters may have been a bit shallow, but at least they had some sort of definition. The story revolves around a group of camp-counselors closing up camp and celebrating. Tracy, one of the counselors, is the sister of one of the victims from the original, and her motives for returning are somewhat vague. Just like in the original, people start dropping off one by one, and yet the counselors still feel obliged to stick around and finish their work. The ending is somewhat sketchy and cliched, but overall, "Bloody Murder 2" is a triumph over the original, which was basically just a joke.

- WissenswertesDuring an interview in 2004, Tiffany Shepis said this is her third favorite of the horror films she worked on, though she thought the other lead actresses should have stripped off their clothes too instead of her being the only one stark naked and screwing guys in so many scenes. She joked that "naked chicks are the only reason people watch these films, so no one probably even knows those other two are in this movie."
- PatzerThe sheriff takes the video tape with him when he takes Mike into town, so Tracy cannot be viewing it later through the recorder.
