Flowers FOR my honey.

Our house has been so quiet these past few days, my Jamo went to visit his mom, she's very sick in the hospital. He was gone for 4 days and it felt like forever. We do everything together, we have no children, it's kinda all about us and what we want to do. Mostly we just want to do stuff together, all the time.
I cut these fresh beautiful Sunflowers from our garden as a welcome home for him. I think he likes them cause I like them, lol. He picked up my fav carry-out and we're just going to enjoy each other's company and  watch some Netflix. The older I get the less I need to be truly happy.

Nat's beautiful work.

My swap partner, Natasha from Natasha's scrapbook corner made a gorgeous necklace for my Ella and she loved it too, lol.

Nat's gorgeous take on Alice, love her work.

This is Natasha's beautiful work, from Natasha's scrapbook corner face book group. She was my swap partner and she went with an Alice theme, she has the most beautiful digital images in her store. Her envelopes and tags are simply gorgeous and I love them.

Loaded envelope swap.

This loaded envelope swap I did with Nat from Natasha scrapbook corner. She has an awesome online shop with the prettiest things. She wanted "Victorian" style with some blue, this is my take on it. I did one in blue, pink and cream. Instead of loading the envelope inside, I loaded the envelop outside. Did lots of layers and textures. I used trims, laces vintage jewelry, paper, tulle, texture paste and micro beads.

Thank you Lord.

In the garden.

Managed to get these pics before the much welcome rain came in. This heat is hard on the blooms, so I'll take what I can. It's had for these plant to use all their energy into producing blooms in this heat. First thing I'm doing the minute it starts to get cool, which I'm hoping it will be early to mid Sep, is start to work on my drip irrigation system.
We already have drip in the front and it makes such a big difference. I have it set up on a timer and no worries.

Next year I'm planting more Verbenas, I think they're so pretty.

These Petunias were here on the property and they popped up all over this year too. I kept relocating them in back yard and am so I glad I did.  They have a soft cent and don't need to dead headed. They grow fast and pretty tall, at least a couple of feet. If you give them a little support, they look beautiful. Have no idea what kind of Petunia this is, their so many now days?

Spreading out.

If my husband would let me I could fill up an entire house with my pretties. I just spread out into the old mudroom, just a few feet. But, oh boy what I can do with a few feet. Tagged, labeled and tasseled everything, I might as well, I have to look at it.

My beautiful and talented mom, that I miss a lot,  made those pink fabric liners in the wire and picnic basket. I love Alabama and the little town that we moved to, and the fact that one of my sisters lives here is awesome. I have some great memories of our life in Miami, but I sure miss my mom and the rest of our gang. Seeing them soon again, God willing.

I need to make more of my hand made flowers and just gift them out. I done that many times, but these I kept for me. I make them out of vintage doilies and pieces of laces and trims that are left over from other project. Lots of tutorial on YT on how to make these, some of my friends have made some gorgeous ones.

These cute tags I got from an Etsy seller. I find lots of my treasure there.

I found this cute purse charm on line. LOVE

This chicken wire basket holds my overflow of vintage laces and trim. NO MORE LACES, note to self.

This tassel is from Michael's, from an old collection that I still love.

This tassel-charm I made out of tea dye seam binding and some beads that I turned intp a charm.
