40K For the Win

Last Weekend, I got some games in with my Ad Mech army. The only problem was that I did not have the Kataphron Destroyers that completes my 1500 point lists.  My group was kind enough to let me proxy something similar (like any good group should) and I chose to use my Imperial Guard heavy weapon teams.

After a fun Ork month, it is time for the bugs to play.  I have not gotten to play with the new bugs before this week. Earlier this week, I played my bugs at the local GW store. I tried out my artillery formation with out much success.  I just did not have the ability to bring down his Wraith knights.  Those guys are tough. While I was there, I found out about a 1000 point tournament that they are having at the end of the month.

This weekend I went to a local game store.  They don't have any gaming room but they do sell second hand models. In this bargain bin I found a set of cadin heavy weapon teams (HWT) still on the sprue and another model that I think is a priest.  I got all this for $15.

This weekend I finally got my flock out and started to finish up some of my models.  I am the laziest when it come to doing finishing a model so I tried to do a big batch of guys.

This weekend I had a little down time and thought I would get a little hobby stuff out of the way.  First, I wanted to add some texture to my new Tyranid monstrous creature bases. Next, I finally decided to make some twin linked (TL) Devourers for my Tyrant. Lastly, I painted up another heavy Weapons Team for my Guard.

So I had a little time to craft over the weekend.  I assembled the harpy / crone model up to the point where I need magnets.  Then I painted up one of my 4 heavy weapon teams. First some pics.
