I figured this is a good place for my to keep my thoughts about all my tabletop adventures. I will will keep thoughts about lists, pics of completed models and WIP, and maybe even some slimmed down battle reports.

2019 Year in Review - Blockade
Hi Everyone! It's been a while, but here's my year in review! Lots of paint put down this year, and my first tournament victories in two years!
Here's the total count of miniatures:
Infantry: 165
Monsters: 2 (Thousand Sons Daemon Prince & Venomcrawler)
Tanks/Vehicles: 4 (Goliath, Two Chimeras, Tauros Venator)
Terrain: 12 distinct 'units' of things.
Here's a few of the best pictures from the year!

Black Templar Display Board WIP
Hi all! Long time no see! Summer is winding down, so naturally I'm racing to finish more than necessary. With both Armies on Parade and Shorehammer coming up, I wanted to create a display board. Earlier this year, I completed a display board in a three day period for my friend. I did not hit that goal this time.

Multiverse Gaming Scenery Review - Forges of Prometheus
Howdy all! I recently picked up some scenery from Multiverse Gaming Terrain so that I could fill out the scenery on the desert industrial board. Here's my write up of the experience.

December Building Round-Up: Pallets & Spawn & Rogue Traders, Oh My!
Twas the Night before Christmas,
and all through the house,
All the creatures were purging
and cleaning
Especially the future spouse
Away terrain
Away paint
Away miniatures so small
To hide until the Yuletide festivities
are past for all.
Merry Christmas Eve & Happy Holidays! Here at the Blockade household, we've been especially busy with trees and decoration & baking. But this month has also seen a variety of event & future event planning & even some miniature painting!

Showcase: Speed Freek Terrain
After finishing most of the Speed Freeks boxset, I turned to the terrain that came with it. I figured I can use this as some scatter terrain during my games at home or it will be nice to have the set totally painted if I ever try to play the actual game.
There is not much to say about the terrain. I based it black, then heavy drybrush of silver. I then picked out pieces in the colors of my ork clans. My ork vehicles have red, blue, and green
Wile the detail is pretty good I am a little disappointed on a few pieces. On one piece there is a stack of tires and it seems they were a bit lazy when scuplting them. Instead of making them a stack they juts have one long tire. This just looks odd when you start to really look. The good thing is it is just terrain so most people will just glance at it and move on.
With these done I just have the Kustom Boosta-Blasta to finish. I am hoping to complete that this week and move on to the Snazzwagon. I also would like to get my Blood Sisters done as well. Then It is off to paint my grots. I plan on using them in my current build and I would like them to be painted. I feel I can get all 26 done before the end of the year. I also want to finish my Fire Raptor... Man I have a lot of work to do.

Building an Industrial Pump Station
Hi all!
Been a while since I posted, and wanted to show of what I've been doing. There was a local terrain competition at the nearby GW store the other day, and a hobby club friend was kind enough to 'donate' two boxes of material to the Tabor Warhammer League earlier last month, with the idea that it be used for the club. Two birds with one stone, so I set to work! Especially useful was the Sector Mechanicus NIB set. I've been meaning to replace some of my oldest work at the club (read as pieces that are about 5 years old now), so I set to work.

Promethium Rig Builder Diary Day 2
Greetings! Or should I say put on this hard hat?
While it says "Day 2" it should probably say entry #2, as this has been a multi-day project, but here's where we came from to where we are now. I'll add some tips/tricks about what I learned from this at the end. When last we left the project, we had four very cool pillars (that I could also use to create a vaguely water-world concept that seems to be percolating in my mind).

Promethium Rig Builder Diary - Day 1
Hi all!
As usual, hobby ADD has struck, and while I was waiting for things on the martian board to move along (read, I haven't bought any sand, so I can't sand the board, also I need glue - where is my shopping list?), so I decided to get to work on this monster.
A few days a huge package came in the mail!
Yes - I was excited. Soon a delicious smell of burning mdf filled the room.
What is it, you ask? A Promethium Rig from a Kickstarter run by Wargame Model Mods, a British Company.
The focus of the kickstarter was to allow the founder to source sufficiently strong tubes to support a variety of projects. As with most MDF terrain, it is simple to build cube or rectangular shapes, but more organic shapes are difficult to form.

Martian Board Work In Progress
Hi all, Blockade here.
Other than that awesome intro Grenn Dal gave me, not much to say! I'm glad to be here, and I'm sure you'll get to know me in time. I wanted to start with this project I've been working on for the club.
Project Name: Martian Mining Board
Goal/Project Overview:

WIP: Gaming Room
When we moved, we decided that we would rather own than rent. When we found our house, I found I had a large room downstairs that we never had before. We decided this was my chance to have my very own game room.

TGTP2016: Build is finished
With the wife out of town for a couple of days, I had a couple of evenings to myself to watch hockey and build up some terrain. I assembled all my kickstarter bundle from Death Ray Designs.

TGTP2016: Rapid Vanguard Bunker
Last night I had some time to work on TGTP2016 (The Great Terrain Project of 2016 last time I write that out). I finished up the bunker and worked on the cannon turret.

Death Ray Designs: Rapid Vanguard Terrain
Last post, I said I was almost finished with my Patriach. This means instead of finishing him, I should start a new project. I am calling it The Great Terrain Project of 2016. Back in March I backed Death Ray Design's Rapid Vanguard Terrain Kickstarter. Well last week, it came in. I was so excited that I decided to put everything on hold and start assembling.

I spent some time this weekend finishing up my new rocky terrain. I am very happy with how they turned out.

WIP: Terrain
Knowing that I might not have a cool group with terrain and tables to play with, I thought it might be time I get some terrain myself. I started by backing Death Ray Studio's (formerly Brush 4 Hire) Kickstarter. While this is a good start, I still had an itch to make some terrain. So out comes the pink foam.
