Building an Industrial Pump Station

Hi all!

Been a while since I posted, and wanted to show of what I've been doing. There was a local terrain competition at the nearby GW store the other day, and a hobby club friend was kind enough to 'donate' two boxes of material to the Tabor Warhammer League earlier last month, with the idea that it be used for the club. Two birds with one stone, so I set to work! Especially useful was the Sector Mechanicus NIB set. I've been meaning to replace some of my oldest work at the club (read as pieces that are about 5 years old now), so I set to work.

Promethium Rig Builder Diary Day 2

Greetings! Or should I say put on this hard hat?

While it says "Day 2" it should probably say entry #2, as this has been a multi-day project, but here's where we came from to where we are now. I'll add some tips/tricks about what I learned from this at the end. When last we left the project, we had four very cool pillars (that I could also use to create a vaguely water-world concept that seems to be percolating in my mind).

Promethium Rig Builder Diary - Day 1

Hi all!

As usual, hobby ADD has struck, and while I was waiting for things on the martian board to move along (read, I haven't bought any sand, so I can't sand the board, also I need glue - where is my shopping list?), so I decided to get to work on this monster.

A few days a huge package came in the mail!

Yes - I was excited. Soon a delicious smell of burning mdf filled the room.

What is it, you ask? A Promethium Rig from a Kickstarter run by Wargame Model Mods, a British Company.

The focus of the kickstarter was to allow the founder to source sufficiently strong tubes to support a variety of projects. As with most MDF terrain, it is simple to build cube or rectangular shapes, but more organic shapes are difficult to form.
