'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' Comic-Con Trailer

A new trailer has been unveiled for 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.' Directed once again by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling the film stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Claudia Kim, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, with Jude Law as Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Nine Clips From Tim Burton's 'Dark Shadows'

Below are nine clips from Tim Burton's Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Moretz and Gulliver McGrath. Also below is a featurette for which takes a look at the history of vampires in film and the arrival of Barnabas Collins which shows footage from the film, along with an important scene with Christopher Lee.

In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet—or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy…until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Brouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.

Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles.

Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth's ne'er-do-well brother, Roger Collins (Jonny Lee Miller); her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard (Chloe Moretz); and Roger's precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath). The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis, played by Jackie Earle Haley, and David's new nanny, Victoria Winters, played by Bella Heathcote.

It opens 11 May 2012.

Here's the first look at Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Tonto in the upcoming Disney adaptation of 'The Lone Ranger' directed by Gore Verbinski, and we have to say Kemosabe's outfit does share a passing resemblance to his great nephew Britt Reid 'Green Hornet' costume.

'The Rum Diary' Posters

Three posters for Bruce Robinson 'The Rum Diary' based on the Hunter S. Thompson novel. It stars Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Amber Heard, Michael Rispoli, Richard Jenkins, Giovanni Ribisi and Marshall Bell

Based on the debut novel by Hunter S. Thompson, "The Rum Diary" tells the increasingly unhinged story of itinerant journalist Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp). Tiring of the noise and madness of New York and the crushing conventions of late Eisenhower-era America, Kemp travels to the pristine island of Puerto Rico to write for a local newspaper, The San Juan Star, run by downtrodden editor Lotterman (Richard Jenkins). Adopting the rum-soaked life of the island, Paul soon becomes obsessed with Chenault (Amber Heard), the wildly attractive Connecticut-born fiancée of Sanderson (Aaron Eckhart).

Sanderson, a businessman involved in shady property development deals, is one of a growing number of American entrepreneurs who are determined to convert Puerto Rico into a capitalist paradise in service of the wealthy. When Kemp is recruited by Sanderson to write favorably about his latest unsavory scheme, the journalist is presented with a choice: to use his words for the corrupt businessmen's financial benefit, or use them to take the bastards down.

It opens October 28, 2011 in the US, 4 November 2011 for Ireland and the UK.

Armie Hammer Is Gore Verbinski's Lone Ranger

Armie Hammer will take up the mask of 'The Lone Ranger' in Gore Verbinski's big screen adaptation, he joins Johnny Depp who will be Tonto.

While details differ, the basic story of the origin of the Lone Ranger is the same in most versions of the franchise.[9] Six Texas Rangers are ambushed by a band of outlaws led by Cavendish. Later, a Native American named Tonto stumbles on the scene and recognizes the lone survivor, Reid, as the man who had saved his life some time in the past.

He nurses Reid back to health. The two men dig six graves for Reid's comrades, among them Reid's brother, and Reid fashions a black mask using material from his brother's vest to conceal his identity, so that Cavendish will think there were no survivors. Even after the Cavendish gang is brought to justice, Reid continues to fight evil under the guise of the Lone Ranger.

'Rango' Short Review, New Clips & TV Spots

Rango is out this Friday (4th March) and some extended clips and TV spots have been released which you can view below.

Gore Verbinski has done an excellent job with 'Rango,' the superbly animated tale of a chameleon that aspires to be a swashbuckling hero who finds himself in a Western town plagued by bandits and is forced to literally play the role in order to protect it. Having seen a preview screening last week I thoroughly enjoyed this thematically witty adventure, any kids film with an on form Johnny Depp channeling some Hunter S. Thompson à la 'Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas', very clever references to Sergio Leone films and mix in some old school Looney Tunes sensibilities, gets a big thumbs up. The film works to its strengths and has set the bar high for other animated film that follow this year to match it. It also does a great job of appealing to both young audiences and keeping that older more mature smart moviegoer happy too. Also refreshing (for this movie lover) to see a newly released animated film not in distracting 3D.

Updated: Official Logo for 'The Lone Ranger'

Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed the official logo for Gore Verbinski take on 'The Lone Ranger,' Johnny Depp is the only confirmed casting in the film as Tonto.

Update: Johnny Depp has talked about playing Tonto in 'The Lone Ranger:'
"I think it's going to be good, when we have a chance to put it up on its feet," Depp said. "What we've got so far screenplay-wise is really great, really funny."

Depp, who is part Cherokee, added that the Tonto character will be different in the feature film. "I always felt Native Americans were badly portrayed in Hollywood films over the decades. It's a real opportunity for me to give a salute to them. Tonto was a sidekick in all the Lone Ranger series. [This film] is a very different approach to that partnership. And a funny one I think."
