'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' Comic-Con Trailer

A new trailer has been unveiled for 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.' Directed once again by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling the film stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Claudia Kim, Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, with Jude Law as Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Grindelwald.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald' opens in theatres November 16, 2018.

Jude Law Is The New Dumbledore

Jude Law has been cast to play the young Dumbledore for second 'Fantastic Beasts,' directed by David Yates with a script by J.K. Rowling.

Law will portray Dumbledore long before the iconic wizard became the Headmaster at Hogwarts, as he has been known in the “Harry Potter” books and movies. We meet him decades earlier, when Dumbledore is still serving as the wizarding school’s Transfiguration professor. He is also a contemporary of Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), the charismatic dark wizard who believes wizards are superior to Muggles and No-Majs.

The film is set to shoot this summer.
