'Dark Shadows' Trailer
First trailer for Tim Burton's 'Dark Shadows' starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Bella Heathcote, Chloe Moretz and Gulliver McGrath.
In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet—or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy…until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Brouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.
Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles.
Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth's ne'er-do-well brother, Roger Collins (Jonny Lee Miller); her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard (Chloe Moretz); and Roger's precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath). The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis, played by Jackie Earle Haley, and David's new nanny, Victoria Winters, played by Bella Heathcote.
It opens 11 May 2012.
New Trailer with added Alice Cooper

'Captain America 2' Details
Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely discussed ideas on what you can expect for the Captain America saying:
Chris Evans' Captain America next appears in Joss Wheadon's 'The Avengers' on May 4, 2012, while the next solo venture for the first avenger is not expected until 2014.
Below are a collection of Promo's for the home release of 'Captain America: The First Avenger':
"I think it's safe for us to say that it's primarily set in the modern day," says Markus. "That seems to have been the biggest question people have been wondering about regarding the sequel... [W]e've been left with room to explore Cap entering the modern day wondering, 'What is all this? What's happened to the world' and so on."
"We made a movie where the world was in context for Steve Rogers," adds McFeely. "It was a movie where it was a more pure time, where there were clearly black-and-white, right-and-wrong, good-and-evil scenarios. And Cap is a guy who symbolizes that. Now he's in the now, and there is nothing black-and-white. So what do you do with that guy? How does he react to a much more uncertain time? So you're given this huge new palate to work with, but you can keep him the same."

Updated 'The Avengers' Character Headshots & Stills
Entertainment Weekly has released pictures from the set and character headshots from Marvel Studios 'The Avengers.'
Directed by Joss Whedon the pictures show off the worlds mightiest heroes line up of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner aka The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
Update: EW have also character profiles on each member of The Avengers, some of which tease important plot details:
“He’s the most – guy, but a total loose cannon," says Mark Ruffalo of playing Dr. Bruce Banner/The Hulk, "No one wants to set him off except for Iron Man... who just wants to see him pop. It’s funny, there’s a really cool dynamic between Tony Stark and Banner. Banner actually enjoys it, and finds it really refreshing. They’re a lot alike in a strange way. They’re both these kind of scientists who are mavericks, kind of renegades. Banner, for all his mild-mannered mythology, he’s still the dude who was testing some pretty crazy s–t on himself, so he has that rebel streak in him.”
It is also stated that Banner wants to be a member of the team, but that rest of the group considers him a liability. As for keeping the Hulk in check, the duty seems to fall to Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, who will also share a backstory with Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow.
“[Hawkeye is] the only one who can really take down The Hulk with his tranq tip arrows," says Renner, adding "...The only sort of thing I cling to is the relationship of past experiences with Scarlett’s character, with them both being human. ”
Though Captain America was the hero we saw most recently on the big screen, Chris Evans says that things have changed between his solo film and The Avengers and that we'll see a darker take on Steve Rogers.
“It’s just about him trying to come to terms with the modern world," Evans explains, "You’ve got to imagine, it’s enough of a shock to accept the fact that you’re in a completely different time, but everybody you know is dead. Everybody you cared about.. [E]verybody he went to battle with, all of his brothers in arms, they’re all dead. He’s just lonely. I think in the beginning it’s a fish out of water scene, and it’s tough. It’s a tough pill for him to swallow."
Though the team is going head-to-head with Tom Hiddleston's Loki, Chris Hemsworth reveals that his Thor won't necessarily be the most at odds with his half-brother.
“I think [Thor's] motivation is much more of a personal one," he says, "in the sense that it’s his brother that is stirring things up. Whereas everyone else, it’s some bad guy who they’ve gotta take down. It’s a different approach for me, or for Thor... I’ve been frustrated with my brothers at times, or family, but I’m the only one who is allowed to be angry at them. There’s a bit of that.”

'Captain America: The First Avenger' TV Spots
Two TV spots have been released for Marvel's 'Captain America: The First Avenger,' directed by Joe Johnston and starring Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Haley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Dominic Cooper, Toby Jones and Neal McDonough.
Born during the Great Depression, Steve Rogers grew up a frail youth in a poor family. Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected. Overhearing the boy’s earnest plea, General Chester Phillips offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment… Operation: Rebirth.
After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the Super-Solider Serum and bombarded by ‘vita-rays.’ Steve Rogers emerged from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Rogers was then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program. Three months later, he was given his first assignment as Captain America. Armed with his indestructible shield and battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and as leader of the Avengers.
'Captain America: The First Avenger' is set to hit theaters on July 22nd in the US, 29th July for us in Ireland and the UK.

Update: 'Captain America' screenwriters Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely talked to MTV about the trailer:
MTV NEWS: So, tell me your first thought on seeing the new trailer, guys...
CHRISTOPHER MARKUS: You forget when you're constantly dealing with parts of these things that it's going to become this whole thing you're emotionally invested in. [Seeing the trailer] was the first time when I was like, "Oh, this is a real movie! It's not just the scene I have to write today!" It sort of sweeps you up and along with it...
MTV: I'm sure you've seen this footage a lot already, but were there any surprises for you when you first saw it?
STEPHEN McFEELY: I'm very surprised that "Now, Mr. Stark" makes people tingle. It's kind of nice. Without giving too much away, we've lived with that for so long, and people say it's kind of bad-ass, but I forget that it's so bad-ass that Tony Stark's father is part of the back story in "Captain America."
MARKUS: For me, it's the shield flying. That's an effect they add later, so when you're on set it's like, "... And then the shield goes flying, and it looks awesome..." So it's this huge part of the movie that you don't know what it looks like until now. When you finally see it flying around, it feels like, "Oh, sh--, this is awesome!"
MTV: One of the things everyone is talking about now — and has been since we saw that first footage during the Super Bowl — is the skinny Steve Rogers effect...
McFEELY: Yeah, you said on Twitter that you thought he was creepy...
MTV: You read that? Uh-oh. I'm both flattered and worried now... This interview has taken a turn...
McFEELY: [Laughs] Hey, I have to know who's calling when we do these things!
MARKUS: [Laughs] That was a big question going into it, though. Steve was going to have to be so sickly that he couldn't get into World War II. For a long time, we were just like, "I'm sure we'll figure out a way to do that," and went on with our storytelling. Eventually, the effects guys came in and showed us what they did, and we were like, "Holy..."
McFEELY: The thing is, for us, he's just Steve. He's not "Skinny Steve." That's the beauty of Captain America: he's the same guy he was before the super-soldier serum. Marvel was great about that, too. They don't mind spending time with "skinny" Steve and getting to know him, so we love him and root for him even before he goes into the pod. In fact, we looked to "Iron Man" sometimes, because it has a really long first act.
MTV: So "Captain America" is structured similarly? With a long first act?
McFEELY: It's not quite as long as "Iron Man," but we felt the freedom to spend time with regular Steve Rogers before all this other stuff happens to him.
MTV: But when you did finally see Chris Evans as the bulked-up Steve Rogers in full Captain America costume, what was your reaction? For many people, this trailer and the Super Bowl teaser were their first looks at Cap in action...
MARKUS: Like I said earlier, you forget about the bigger picture sometimes — you really do! The character is never named "Captain America" in the script. He's always "Steve." You think of him as Steve, and then he comes out in costume and it's like, "Oooooh, yeah!"
MTV: And Cap wasn't the only superhero we got to see in the trailer. As we mentioned in our trailer analysis, we also get to see characters like Union Jack, who appears with the Howling Commandos.
McFEELY: Right, and since you know that's Union Jack, and you see that, can you also see that it's not just that we named him Montgomery Falsworth? As you watch the trailer and see more of the movie, ask yourself if there's something about the design of him or how he behaves or anything that makes him that character... Let me put it this way: Bucky's uniform is blue — there's a reason for that!
MARKUS: Yeah, there's a reason for everything. ["Captain America"] is endlessly packable with stuff with like that...
MTV: So you're saying the trailer merits even more analysis, eh?
McFEELY: Your six minutes could've been 60 minutes!

Captain America Empire Cover Plus Pics & Nick Fury Confirmed for 'Thor' and 'Captain America'
Below are five new photos from Captain America: The First Avenger, also your first look at first shot of Cap's sidekick, "Bucky" Barnes as portrayed by Sebastian Stan. Also included in the magazine are new images of HYDRA troops and Hugo Weaving's Red Skull
Chris Evans also told Les Toiles Heroiques that he is not contracted for nine Marvel films as was previously rumored.
"To be honest," he says in a quote translated back from French, "it was quite intimidating to commit to nine films in a row. Thankfully, we reduced the number to six... If all goes as planned, I will be playing Captain America until I'm 40."Describing the movie version of Bucky, the character as the "Band of Brothers" version, director Joe Johnston says that Stan's performance will offer a "dark side" to Barnes.
"We took some liberties with the relationship between the two guys,” Johnston is quoted as saying. “In our story, Bucky is already in the service, he’s already joined up and is being sent overseas while Steve is still struggling to get in the army. That’s different than what you may have read in the comics. It adds a nuance to the relationship that pays off later. They’re closer in age, too — they’re virtually the same age.”Also Samuel L. Jackson appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and confirmed that Nick Fury will be making cameo appearances in 'Thor' and 'Captain America: The First Avenger'.

Captain America: The First Avenger: First Look At Chris Evans As Cap & Hugo Weaving As Red Skull
"At the time, I remember telling a buddy of mine, 'If the movie bombs, I'm f—-ed. If the movie hits, I'm f—-ed!'" After declining the part three times, Evans took a meeting with Marvel execs and Johnston and was dazzled by their plans for the movie. He still felt wary about suiting up for Captain America — but then he had an epiphany. "I was just scared," he says. "I realized my whole decision making process was fear based, and you never want to make a decision out of fear.'" Evans signed a six-picture deal with Marvel to play the character, and he has no regrets: "I can't believe was almost too chicken to play Captain America."Based on the Marvel Comics character from World War II. A brave, yet mild-mannered young soldier named Steve Rogers, volunteers to undergo a series of experiments for a US army Super Soldier program. The military succeeds in transforming him into a human weapon, but quickly decide that their Super Soldier is far too expensive a creation to risk in combat. So, they decide to put him to use as an army celebrity and parade him across Europe to boost morale by performing in USO shows for American troops. He is even given a costume that bear the colors of Old Glory for the stage. Then, when a Nazi plot reveals itself Rogers must rise up and and become the First Avenger, in order to save his country. Steve Rogers becomes Captain America and he earns his way into the hearts and souls of every American, bringing hope and justice to a war-weary nation. Later, during a mission to Germany to stop his archenemy - The Red Skull, from launching rockets at the allies, Captain America sacrifices himself and winds up frozen in ice for almost six decades! Revived, Steve Rogers now must join forces with new heroes and become an Avenger of the modern age.
"The interesting thing about this character is that he's an everyman who in the course of a few minutes become a perfect human specimen. That has to create some interesting personal issues," says Johnston. "I saw it as an opportunity to make a superhero movie that felt real, that didn't have to rely on an overabundance of fantasy elements."
It has a July 22 2011 release date.
