Wild Wood Gatherer Shop

Idea for an new shop was on my mind for a long time and I was working on this shop for a quite a while. Felt that I should try something else than Etsy. Also I am working on a completely new blog, where I will be writing about deeper thoughts about nature and the woods, which inspires me the most.

P.S. It would be lovely to hear from you, who have followed this blog a long time!

magic birds

my heart is aching to go in to a winter woodland, but i had to first list few of my new brooch necklaces.
i found these beautiful stoneware bird button from Dorothy Domingo's Etsy shop and made first brooches from them. but then noticed that attaching a ribbon they would be a wonderful necklaces also. i do love the color combinations, especially the green, brown and turquoise. you can find the brooches from here.

but now i need to hurry, since the day is turning in to a twilight...

changes

i have been writing many posts lately, all of them i have deleted or saved as a drafts. i know where this hesitation comes from, it comes from the feel of change. i want to change layout of this blog, i want to change what i want to share in it. so there will come changes slowly... i have been shy blogger lately, not confident enough publishing my writings. few days ago i posted that i will have a little winter silence until i will found out what i want to express in this blog, that post was deleted also. but on that same day i knew what i wanted...
what i want this blog to be is all about nature, how my life entwines with the woodlands. i do not want to put the contents of my blog in to a specific box, decide that this is all i want to write about, but i want that the main focus will be on nature. i wish that someday i could keep this blog as a travel journal, where i would write about the woodlands around the world where i have visited, but until that this will be my nature journal from the woods nearest my heart; my home woods.

on 1st of February i will begin a one month nature journal, which i will keep in this blog. write everyday what i have seen in that particular day. and i would be glad to see that some of you would begin this adventure with me and begin a nature journal of your own for a month on your blog. or just writing about your nature journal in a paper and share it with me. i have learned from nature, that the more you truly notice the nature, more you  will see.

Hello winter...

finally the winter is here. we had a taste of it in Christmas eve morning, when i peeked from the window and magically the snow has landed upon the ground. but now it feels even more different, a real winter. i do not trust this winter though, it can be vanished  in a moment. but still it has been here now for days. before the snow covered the moss i noticed snowdrop leaves under the goat willow tree... it would have been three months early for them to bloom.

i quickly took these photos by the windows.
i had to take another photo from the "twilight winter deer" necklace.

i love this painting by Margaret W. Tarrant. it is one of the most dearest picture that i have.
forest elf, who gives shelter from the snow to the other woodland creatures.

this year

a collection of photographs from this year....

sending jewelries away in to new homes

working and living a month in a woodland arboretum.
one of the most dearest places to me and i truly felt that
i belonged to be there.

gardening from the morning to the dusk. having ability to make my parents garden look how ever i wanted to. 6000 square feet of yard to fill with trees and flowers. this year was just a beginning, next year new garden plans. the more i work in the garden more i learn, i am much more wiser now than when i begun to create this cutting garden in the back in this photo.

summer dusk

gathering baskets and baskets of mushrooms

visiting in the woods with my little friend.
afterwards she created woodland bracelet with my beads.

receiving many lovely parcels from faraway friends,
this parcel was from dear Mary, whom i happily met in England.

wandering in the hillside woodland

listening the birds and rustling leaves

finding lovely new artists

lovely times of creating in the tiny studio

creating jewelries for sale at the cafe in the woodland

seeing first time English bluebells

visit in a Hill Top

picking woodland heather for a tea and posies.
one of the most magical flowers, i think.
