Kuroshitsuji II

The stage of Kuroshitsuji II opens on the life of Alois Trancy, the young heir to the Trancy earldom. Though he is privileged now, such was not always the case for the hot-tempered boy. Kidnapped and forced into slavery at a young age, he was eventually rescued and returned home, only to have his beloved father pass away soon after.

However, there are certain individuals who doubt Alois' story and legitimacy. And rightfully so, because things in the Trancy household are not as they appear, starting with Alois' black-clad butler with supernatural abilities, Claude Faustus. Who exactly is the mysterious Claude, and what connection does he have with Alois?

Amid the web of lies and deceit running rampant in the mansion, the bond between Alois and Claude will be tested as hell itself arrives at their doorstep.

Kuroshitsuji is one of those anime that completely pulls you into its world before you even realize what’s happening. It was only my third anime ever, and somehow I got totally lost in it in the best possible way. I watched it together with my sister, and that alone made the experience even more special. There’s something about sharing all the twists, the humor, the dark moments, and the absolute chaos of this series with someone else that makes it unforgettable. The atmosphere of Kuroshitsuji is unlike anything else. It mixes elegance, mystery, gothic aesthetics, and dark humor so perfectly that every episode feels like ... stepping into a beautifully twisted Victorian fairy tale. And of course, Sebastian and Ciel are such iconic characters. Their dynamic is intense, clever, emotional, and sometimes even heartbreaking. Watching their story unfold is addictive, and it’s impossible not to get attached. What I love most is how the series constantly surprises you. One moment you’re laughing at the absurdity of the Phantomhive household, and the next you’re hit with a dramatic plot twist that leaves you staring at the screen. It’s that blend of tones that makes Kuroshitsuji so unique and so easy to fall in love with. For me, Kuroshitsuji isn’t just an anime, it’s one of those series that stays with you, long after you’ve watched it.

Mixed Feelings

Season two of the 13 year old that signed his soul away to a demon for some muddled reason he never follows through on until the finale.

No not Ciel, the other kid! Yes, we're doing this again only with a "we are not so different" kind of mirror image rival.

One thing you'll notice in every single review of S2 is this line (this is fanfiction, it's not from the manga.) This line sums up the entire season. You have the same aesthetic, same style, characters from S1 return AND you get double the fun with not just one hell of a butler but two.

If you ... can get over the whiny brat (doesn't matter, just pick one.) that is all there is and the show doesn't shy away from that premise. In fact here Sebastian is VERY conscious of his sexual appeal and weaponizes it... way too often.

Although this one is worse compared to S1 it does two things right. One, it knows what it is, it's fanservice and that is completely fine with it, a short and sweet 12 episode show with cute guys fighting it out. Two, the ending is actually pretty good. Fanservicey as HELL but still good, more so than the mess of a Finale S1 had.

Although I hated the first few episodes I found that I enjoyed the rest far more than the second half of S1. Because of that my first instinct was to give this a higher rating of (7). Buuuuuuuuuuut because this one had nothing to say and was formulaic fanfic I will be forgetting about it and the additional characters next week. Say what you want about S1 but it left a mark, so much so that this one doesn't built on it so much as depends on it entirely without adding anything of it's own.

So 5 it is. I don't think I can recommend this even to black butler fans if I'm being honest.

I picked it up from my dropped list and I finished it. I regret. That's nothing compared to what the original black butler's thrill holds. Maybe in the middle a slight interest can be raised, but at the en,d I do feel it became nevertheless a trash. I don't know why this season was necessary cause it's a complete filler. Still why am I rating it 6? Cause I am a black butler FAN

The only thing enjoyable here is SEBASTIAN'S Hotness with Claud. This season doesn't explains or shows any revenge or the bad side of ciel. Ciel is literally doll here. That is what ... made it boring. Ciel's feeling and what made the situation into face some people like Soma, Undertaker and others. Even Grell also just a side chick role, nothing that influences the story.

And making Ciel demon....just didn't devour my soul. SORRY.
