Despite its old-school aspect Shadow Warrior manage to add something different to the FPS genre: swordplay! Drop your gun and draw your katana! A real warrior should rely on his melee weapon and not on his long range weapons. The humor in Shadow Warrior is full of pop culture content! Don't take this game too seriously! This game was made for pure enjoyment! If you want more old-school action FPS after Serious Sam BFE pick this one up! The game doesn't include multiplayer but don't worry. For 40$ you will get at least 15 hours of gameplay if you crank up the difficulty to the maximum. In the FPS field this game lenght is almost inexistant. Boss fights are memorable as they are humongous. Don't forget to add up replayability as you can unlock more skills more powers!

Those who found disappointment in Diablo 3 will find enjoyment in Torchlight 2. No need to stay online to play solo. Play up to 6 players in COOP. Start the game on VETERAN difficulty and you will get easily more than 40 hours of gameplay! All that for much cheaper than Diablo 3 retail price.

Serious Sam 3 BFE is the best of the serie. Old-school and modern shooter features are well balanced. I know what I am talking about. I played Serious Sam The First Encounter, Serious Sam The Second Encounter, Serious Sam The Next Encounter Gamecube, Serious Sam The Next Encounter PS2, Serious Sam 2, Serious Sam HD Remake. I need to get a GBA and a Palm OS device to play Serious Sam GBA and Serious Sam Palm OS.

What was supposed to be an ambitious open world FPS in 2006 ended up being the worst "AAA" shooter of 2009.

POSITIVES
+Mickey Rourke's swearing
+Functionnal and abusive execution moves
+So bad it's worth a good laugh!

NEGATIVES
-Open world concept has been scrapped for linear levels
-Terrible shooting mechanics
-Semi-functionnal cover system
-Unchallenging A.I.
-Incoherent plot
-Very short (around 1-2 hours)

Verdict: The Daikatana of the late 2000s!
