In fact I managed to resolve this by checking the svn log and rolling back
to the last pre-SILK commit:

   - svn checkout -r r1012 https://svn.code.sf.net/p/oreka/svn/trunk
   oreka-svn

after that I was able to compile and run everything without issue.

It seems like the Skype SiLK libraries and headers are no longer easily
available anywhere on the web.
