I created a new domain on Open HSS and added new user, impu, impu through
the web console. I am using an external Application server and only using
the HSS portion of OpenIMS. When the AS sends a UDR, the HSS responds with
successful UDA but the Sh-User-data is empty(Attached pcap). Do I need to
add the mmtel profile information for this user somewhere? Where is this
information for each subscriber stored?

Hello,

I am testing OpenIMSCore with IPSEC.

I send a REGISTER request to OpenIMS with a Security-Client header
attached. OpenIMS replies with 401 (Unauthorized) but a Security-Server
header is missing from this message.

I have ticked 'All' authentication schemes in the FHoSS portal. I have also
enabled IPSEC in pcscf.cfg.

What could be the problem? I have attached wireshark logs with this email.

  I am trying to build and run OpenIMSCore project on Ubuntu 14.04, 64 bit OS.    Following installation steps [http://www.openimscore.org/documentation/installation-guide/#installscript], I have downloaded and built all the required modules successfully   Below are the list of few addtional softwares that i have installed/updated to complete the build process:
1) bison2) flex3) libcurl4) mysql5) java 1.76) bind - to configure the DNS7) ipsec-tools

  Please find the attached log files produced by pcscf.sh, icscf.sh, scscf.sh and startup.sh.    pcscf-out : debug of pcscf.sh  icscf-out : debug of icscf.sh  scscf-out : debug of scscf.sh  hss-startup-out : debug of startup.sh  open-ims.test not resolved error:
  in hss-startup-out log, i am getting the below messages at the end:  [Thread-24] ERROR de.fhg.fokus.diameter.DiameterPeer.peer.StateMachine  - StateMachine: Peer icscf.open-ims.test can not be resolved.[Thread-24] ERROR de.fhg.fokus.diameter.DiameterPeer.peer.StateMachine  - StateMachine: Peer scscf.open-ims.test can not be resolved.
  Please help me in analyzing whats wrong and the possible solution for this.  named.conf :

  Attached also is the /etc/bin/named.conf file. I have updatd this file as mentioned in the installation guide.
If any additional DNS configuration needs to be done, then please help me in configuring those.

I am unfortunately not a Java expert, but I think you must change/adapt the directory.

 

I used the following statements/commands. Maybe that helps

Hi all,

 

I have a problem when accessing to the HSS web interface. At first I already
successfully compiled and deployed the hss folder. Then I run the startup.sh
file by

# cd /opt/OpenIMSCore/FHoSS/deploy

# ./startup.sh. 

 

It was successfully. Then when I open the web interface:
http://localhost:8080/ and then type the username hssAdmin and password hss.
Then I got the 500 Error that show Unable to compile class for JSP.  This is

I'm having a issue when I'm following OpenIMS installation guide. When I do
below lines:

mysql -u root -p -h localhost < ser_ims/cfg/icscf.sql
mysql -u root -p -h localhost < FHoSS/scripts/hss_db.sql
mysql -u root -p -h localhost < FHoSS/scripts/userdata.sql

There is an error only for the last line, in my terminal, it's showing:

ERROR 1136 (21S01) at line 41: Column count doesn't match value count at
row 1

The 41 line in the userdata.sql is:

/*!40000 ALTER TABLE application_server DISABLE KEYS */;

Hi Priyanka,

sounds like a memory leak, which happen in Java too. The HSS should be 
sort of stateless wrt to number of registered users, with all state kept 
in the backend. So you can try and find out the cause by running a Java 
profiler/debugger and looking for still allocated variables after 10-20K 
registrations. Then try to change the code as to remove references to 
them and hopefully then that should allow the garbage collector free the 
memory.

Sorry that I can't help you further, as these days I am working on a new 
platform. But hopefully the open source nature of the software would 
help. If you have patches, just let us know or ask for the rights to 
commit on sourceforge.

We are using load generator to register a large number of users in 
openIMScore. But we are facing a issue, where after registering 25000 
users HSS memory for java process as seen using top command goes around 
1 GB and it stops processing further requests for registration of new 
users.

We also tried to de-register users periodically but memory of HSS is not 
decreasing even after de-registration. We want to do lakhs of 
registration without restarting HSS.

Please help us in this regard.

Hi Franz,

The problem is solved. The issue was that in the hss_db some columns are 
missing. Therefore the OpenIMSCore cannot register UEs. The missing 
columns are include_register_request and include_register_response.

This problem doesn't appear if you build debian package following the 
guide on the website. But appears if you follow the installation guide.

The problem is caused by the HSS (see Packet 18): 
	SIP/2.0 480 Temporarily unavailable - Missing AVP in UAA from HSS
There are no User-Data, Charging-Information and Result-Code-AVPs included.
It is somehow truncated.

You should look at HSS-logs as a next step.
