Hi all, this week i got the info that we can access now all files on sf.net ugly but untrue. ntl: i have send 2 patches to brl for cvs-inclusiion so we can compile out of the box again. If this is done i plan to release 2.8.29 ASAP. while xmas i will not be here so i hope you will take care of the forum and ml. with some luck (i am still very busy with my job) i can upload the documentation to SF, so this case is also closed. Does anyone have an idea for some screenshots ? re, walter |

I've now also modified PrintingCookbook so that it can be built on its own from CVS. Someone testing if it also works on something but Debian sarge would be nice. As with LPRng-Reference it still needs someone to look at the actual contents... Hochachtungsvoll, Bernhard R. Link |

I've completed stand-alone (i.e. without the parts from LPRng is was embedded before, and directly from CVS without any generated files) build-scripts for lprng-doc, including a 'make dist' to make future releases. Now it needs some more testing with other configuration then my own, and someone to look over the actual documentation data, to bring that up to date. (Many stale links, referenced to lprng.com instead of sourceforge and and and). If noone objects, I'll try the same with the PrintingCookbook now. Hochachtungsvoll, Bernhard R. Link |

Looking over the bugs at http://bugs.debian.org/lprng there are some strange goings on in places, the most worrying one being the spool path is not always defined when using things like NIS. I've already removed the RFC out the CVS for lprng-docs. I'm also glad to see you've split the docs and code into different packages, as the two often run at different time-lines. Hello developers, thx to brl we now have the lastest lprng source in the cvs. It is now time to check if everything is working fine and fixing not working stuff. i am aware that gcc4 drop over one line but the fix is easy. is there any other known major problem ? re, wh |
