This is more for Jeff than anyone else, but if anyone else has ideas/suggestions about a development environment, do share them. We need a development server with a working version of schooltool installed, along with the program 'screen'. What ever happened to maddog? Who is administering it now? How do we get access. All we need are accounts and port 7080 to be open... we can do the rest I think. 'screen' comes with most distros doesn't it? This is something we need to set up right away. Thanks, - Paul |

That seems pretty good to me. --Tom On 6/24/05, Paul Carduner <pau...@gm...> wrote: > I made another simple diagram, attached to this email, much like yours > including some simple use cases for having many to many relationships > between just about everything. I made another simple diagram, attached to this email, much like yours including some simple use cases for having many to many relationships between just about everything. I will go on to make some kind of UML looking diagram for these objects as well... Any suggestions, comments, etc. Jeff, what do you think of this architecture? it is far more general and versatile than the architecture in the first version. - Paul On 6/23/05, Tom Hoffman <tom...@gm...> wrote: > Here's a diagram I made for the standards based assessment system I > made up for my former school: > http://www.schooltool.org/Members/hoffman/images/eval-diagram.png >=20 > This is an RDF data model, which is a directed graph similar to the > relationships and annotations used in SchoolTool's database, except > that RDF relationships are one way, whereas in SchoolTool we maintain > bi-directional relationships. Here's a diagram I made for the standards based assessment system I made up for my former school:=20 http://www.schooltool.org/Members/hoffman/images/eval-diagram.png This is an RDF data model, which is a directed graph similar to the relationships and annotations used in SchoolTool's database, except that RDF relationships are one way, whereas in SchoolTool we maintain bi-directional relationships. The standards-based system we use in SchoolTool will be based on this work, although I'm sure that there will be a number of changes along the way. I'll be on IRC for the meeting this evening. --Tom |
