SkuVault

Pros: The promise of a seamless inventory and warehouse solution. Unfortunately, the sales team was misinformed and botched the onboarding process which resulted in wasted time and money for something I could've done much more quickly manually.

Cons: They did not deliver in any capacity. The onboarding, training, and launch were terrible experiences that ended up costing us money and time. When we agreed to cancel our account, the management team retaliated, denied our refund, and have refused to speak to anyone.

Overall: The worst experience with a company in my two decades of experience with ecommerce. I've dealt with a lot of companies, but this one is ran like a used car dealership. Unorganized onboarding process, terrible support. Imagine a business that makes the customer pay $500 to learn about the product, requires them to complete training before launch which consists of dozens of 30min to one-hour training sessions - USING FAKE INFORMATION - not even YOUR information or YOUR products, but just examples of random products to demonstrate how their software works - and then...you launch with YOUR products and have some difficulties. You're now paying for Month 2...and support is taking weeks to resolve these issues...some as basic as inventory updates. So, you're easily now into $1000 before you even know if the software will work for you...and Month 3 approaches. If you enjoy paying $1000-$1500 to trial software, SkuVault is for you.

Pros: Ease of integration with our current tech stack. My teammates quickly pickup daily functions with limited training. Aside from standard/core WMS features, purchase order management, and ability to cost average are a win for us.

Cons: I hope for expanded integration functionality within my integration partners. User counts can get high, as certain frameworks may require a single user to have multiple accounts.

Overall: As a 3+ year customer that has added and closed multiple warehouse locations. SkuVault has met our needs. I feel our business is valued and we are able to leverage the vast majority of features the software offers.

Pros: SkuVault functions as same as a flight recorder. Every single transaction, everything in the inventory, every single data are all saved. It also has great reporting features.

Cons: I don’t like average cost calculating, I wish the system would calculate cost of the goods each time I receive them to inventory. That’s essential for us to know the exact cost so we can determine our sales prices

Overall: A perfect problem solver, organizer tool for small, midsized and even bigger scale businesses. Recommended!

Pros: Ease of use, intuitive, can solve a wide variety of problems in simple ways, great for kitting items.

Cons: You should be able to edit location names without needing to delete the location and re-create it.

Overall: Excellent experience. Our onboarding specialist, Sue, was incredibly adept with the software. Love it!

Pros: It's adaptive to all of out dropship needs. With built in integrations to ShipStation, it really streamlines worlds between WMS & OMS. We have setup streamlined processes that help meet strenuous retailer demands, and we can do so knowing that our inventory is moving around safely.

It's also a comfort to know that there are built in checks and balances. Example being, a picker grabs the wrong item. As they scan the barcode, Skuvault will tell them "This is the incorrect item" and they're unable to proceed until they scan the correct item.

The training you receive on the front end is great, but more importantly I'm able to reach our account manager any time I have a question about a feature, or if I need to think through a process\solution.

Cons: The numbers of users is a bit limited out of the box, and the price per month can sneak up on you if everyone in the company needs a login. Just something to be think about as you are designing a system.

Overall: Couldn't recommend this product enough. It's the source for all our inventory reporting. The SkuVault team has proven time and again their willingness to help us design a solution that works for us, and even help improve our own processes with suggestions.

Pros: SkuVault's capability to split inventory across multiple Shopify sales channels is a key to our operations. It allows us to optimize the allocation of our inventory between all of our unique sales channels to help us maintain and manage our margins between retail and wholesale. We can even disable the syncs for individual channels when manual management of high demand stock is necessary. The ability to organize stock not only to locations, but also to unique containers that can be moved between warehouses and locations is a key function in our warehouse management and replenishment process that I cannot believe more platforms do not have. The inventory buffer options are robust and easy to adjust and update with imports, having the right buffer settings for your operation is so important for preventing oversold stock which is key in industries like ours (fashion) where restocking an oversold SKU is not always possible.

Cons: We'd like to see the syncs between Shopify and SkuVault get closer to real time, I'm sure there are technical limitations here but since we work with a lot of high demand product it would be great to see any increase in product availability be pushed out to our channels faster. Orders come in at near real time, it's more of an issue when we add availability to a product it can take some time to reflect on the sales channel. The mobile UI could also use a facelift to make it more friendly to fulfillment staff doing wave picking on tablets. As you can see there are not many cons we can think of with the platform, most of our other issues come from us having processes that are unique to our business and not industry standard practice, or they are QoL improvements we'd like to see and not functional limitations.

Overall: SkuVault is an indispensable asset to our operational flow. Its capacity to manage and allocate inventory across several Shopify channels greatly improves our efficiency, improves our margins, and reduces the risk of overselling. It truly revolutionizes our inventory management and gives us a competitive edge in the dynamic e-commerce environment.

Pros: Our classic car business needed an inventory system that gave us product barcodes, reordering reporting and ability to kit products.

Once getting thru the learning curve we have found SkuVault excellent in all these areas. The onboard training and overall support is excellent and support folks answer the phones!

Cons: Like to see ability to see a snapshot of inventory value back in time for tax and accounting. Very difficult to lean how to upload data files and map fields.

The sales folks had a tendency to oversell the features that latter found out not capable of. Did not understand kits and assembled products as well as they should.

Overall: SkuVault has figured out many of the basics to manage, reorder, fill orders and kit products that works well at all levels of our business.

Pros: This works so well for our eBay Store inventory!!

Cons: Sometimes it's a little clunky but once you're used to it, it's not as bad.

Overall: This has taken away so many stresses and problems!!

Pros: I have only been using SkuVault for a few months, but the overall experience has been good. There are many features this product has to offer and really helps to keep our inventory up to date and can handle our fast-paced environment.

Cons: I wish there were a page where I could view/make changes to all inventory without having to export a file.

Overall: It has been a good experience. I use this product daily and it makes the job and inventory management so simple.

Pros: Here at Cloud City Drones, we need our system to be as accurate as possible. With over 1900+ SKUs, the mistakes that could be made with picking our products are higher than most. Before SkuVault, 10-20% of orders were incorrectly picked. Creating unnecessary costs, dissatisfied customers, and making our growth virtually impossible. After SkuVault, we have roughly a 98% inventory accuracy and minimized incorrect picking from 10-20% to about 0.2-1%. The picking and quality control systems are easy, and simple, and even have checks and balances to be sure the correct product is being picked.
Replenishment reports and POs are easy to create and manage. And the Not Picked report allows us to see where steps may have been skipped, allowing us to review with employees of the process and stop the potential inventory issues in its tracks.

Cons: With our SKU count so high, we have found minor issues with consolidating our products into singular locations. While this is no fault of SkuVault, it is a challenge that we face come inventory days. Pricing is quite high, at least when considering additional users, but in my opinion, the value it has created offsets the pricing.

Overall: As one of the main users of SkuVault daily, overall I am very satisfied with the service and am pleased that it has allowed us to grow as much as we have with much more growth coming in the future.

Pros: Loved the auto kitting function when assembling our hardware units and places to hold serial numbers for each component as well.

Cons: Had a hard time exporting data that contained the exact fields I wanted occasionally but SkuVault support was very helpful every time I asked them for assistance.

Overall: Amazing hardware inventory solution. Very robust and very accommodating. The account representatives have been nothing but spectacular to us. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an inventory solution.

Pros: Brilliant piece of software and an amazing team to go with it! We've been using SkuVault for awhile now in our multi company setup, and its amazing, its a breeze to work with, training new staff is easy and you have an overall view on your warehouse better than any spreadsheet.

We run multiple companies all linked into SkuVault and everything talks seamlessly, with direct on platform links there is no third party companies required and the setup is very easy to follow. And its better priced than all the competitors I found for what we needed which is a massive tick for a smaller company.

Cons: Being based in Australia the operating hours of there support is based in the US timezone so sometimes you have to wait for a response, but system uptime is basically 99% so I've only ever needed to contact the team once anyways.

Overall: Honestly wish we had implemented SkuVault sooner, what it has done for optimizing our warehouse, reducing or eliminating manual processes that humans had errors on is priceless. We've saved 4-10x the cost of the platform per month just on how easy and stress free its made our lives.

Pros: Easy to implement, very user friendly, We have been with SkuVault for 4+ years and our business has grown from 50 SKU's to 6500 sku's. We have gone from a tiny batch of shelves to a 10,000+ sq ft high bay warehouse with order pickers. We utilize wave picking and paperless operations. SkuVault has grown with our business and handled everything we needed. We are super happy with the product. We could not live without replenishment forecasting.

Cons: I wish the dashboard had a more robust mechanism for drilling down on the individual categories shown on the dashboard. Reporting could improve.

Overall: Absolutely the single biggest resource to our success. SkuVault is the hub of our business without it, there is no way we could have grown the way we have. SkuVault manages our channels flawlessly, very robust and uptime is great. Our staff learns the product very quickly. The customer service has been fantastic.
