Abstract

Thestock yard has a radial structure operating from a central point (2). The radial arm (3) is supported by the adjustable vertical boom (16) and cables (17). The end of the radial arm is fitted with an extension boom which can rotate about the vertical axis (10), so that the stack (1) may be loaded over a wider area. The unloading arm (4) operates at ground level on rails (25 etc.). It is loaded or unloaded by a conveyor travelling the arms towards the centre.
