Definitions
- the invention relates to garments in the textile field.
- the invention relates to undeformable collar and cuff structures with an integral structure used in garments such as shirts, jackets, women's dresses, coats, pajamas, and collar shirts in the field of textiles.
- Collar is among the most important elements that determine the character of textile products such as shirts and jackets and shape them.
- shirts with collars and cuffs in different forms are seen not only as fashion, but also as a symbol of social status. For this reason, it is desirable that the collar and cuff structures are durable in long-term use while exhibiting a flawless appearance.
- an interlining layer is adhered to the visible upper collar fabric with temperature and pressure to make it stay upright and sealed with stitches with a lower layer of fabric that touches the body.
- removable or fixed baleens are connected to the corners so that the shirt collars stand upright.
- Interlining is the fabric used in the textile industry to make the fabric have a more effective appearance, increase durability and reach a harder consistency. When interlining is used in the fabric, the fabric solidifies and acquires form. In collars and cuffs, interlinings suitable for the processing and tensile values of the fabric with superior washing and adhesion strength are preferred.
- the interlining layer is applied to the upper collar or upper cuff fabric visible from the outside.
- the lower collar fabric which is connected to this composite structure with the seam, is released in its final state; it cannot move in sync with the upper collar during manufacturing, washing and use. Therefore, collars and cuffs are subject to distortions in the form of folds, wrinkles, pulls and bagging, exhibiting an unpleasant appearance. Folds also make marks on the front face visible from the outside, damaging the clothing and reducing the service life of the garments.
- the invention is inspired by the present situations and aims to solve the above- mentioned disadvantages.
- the main objective of the invention is to produce integral composite collars and cuffs that provide a perfect and harmonious appearance on the front and back sides of all garments containing collars and cuffs, without distortions in the form of folds, wrinkles, pulls and bagging in the structure or appearance of their collars and cuffs.
- repeated use is provided without any problems during the preparation phase for re-use after use, washing or dry cleaning or during ironing.
- An objective of the invention is to provide a smooth wrinkle-free appearance on the front surface by connecting the upper fabric with an interlining under heat and pressure on the collar or cuffs.
- polygot interlining is also applied to the upper fabric where interlining is applied, providing the desired thickness and hardness on the front surface.
- Another objective of the invention is to connect thin interlining to the bottom fabric of the collars and cuffs under heat and pressure, providing a smooth wrinkle-free appearance on the back surface.
- Another objective of the invention is to provide non-deformable collar and cuff structures with an integral composite structure by applying heat and pressure with the gel interlining layer positioned between the upper fabric and the lower fabric of the collars and cuffs.
- Another objective of the invention is to provide an upright and fixed appearance in the corners of the collar by applying baleen in a fixed or removable way on the back surface of the collars.
- the invention is a garment that comprises a collar and/or cuff structure; which, in its most basic form, comprises a composite integral collar and/or cuff structure consisting of an upper fabric layer, a normal interlining layer, a gel interlining layer and a lower fabric layer, respectively.
- the said collar structure comprises collar and/or collar belt sections containing an upper fabric layer, an interlining layer, a gel interlining layer and a lower fabric layer, respectively.
- the said collar and/or collar belt includes an upper fabric layer, an interlining layer, a polygot interlining layer, a gel interlining layer, and a lower fabric layer, respectively.
- the said collar and/or collar belt comprises an upper fabric layer, an interlining layer, a gel interlining layer, a thin interlining layer and a lower fabric layer, respectively.
- the said cuff structure comprises an upper fabric layer, an interlining layer, a gel interlining layer, a thin interlining layer, and a lower fabric layer, respectively.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of the standard Collar structure, which is an embodiment of the invention.
- Figure 2 is a perspective view of the super Collar structure, which is an embodiment of the invention.
- Figure 3 is a perspective view of the standard cuff structure, which is an embodiment of the invention.
- Figure 4 is a perspective view of the super cuff structure, which is an embodiment of the invention.
- the invention relates to garments comprising collar and/or cuff structures in a composite integral structure consisting of an upper fabric (10) layer, a normal interlining (10) layer, a gel interlining (40) layer and a lower fabric (60) layer, respectively.
- the standard collar structure (100) comprises collar (101 ) and collar belt (102) sections that are interconnected.
- the layers on the collar (101 ) which is an integral and composite structure in the final product, comprise the collar upper fabric (10), collar interlining (20), polygot interlining (30), gel interlining (40), lower fabric (60) layers respectively.
- Collar upper fabric (10) is the fabric layer on the upper surface of the collar and is the part visible from the outside.
- Collar interlining (20) ensures that the collar remains in a stable form during use.
- top fuse interlining is used.
- Polygot interlining (30) provides hardness by creating the desired thickness in classical collar.
- top fuse interlining is used.
- the drug on the interlining which is selected as top fuse (e.g. 1 st Quality Adhesive Thick Dok Interlining) is turned into liquid with heat and the necessary transfer of the drug to the fabric is ensured with pressure. As a result of this process, the substance cools down and solidifies again, ensuring full adhesion of the fabric and top fuse to each other.
- Gel interlining (40) is a type of doublesided adhesive interlining, also called collar kolami 28 in the industry, which allows the upper and lower fabric layers to be joined by heat and pressure.
- the standard collar belt (102) structure comprises layers of collar belt top fabric (10), collar belt interlining (20), gel interlining (40), collar belt lower fabric (60).
- the collar belt (102) does not have polygot interlining (30); there are upper fabric (10), interlining layer (20), gel interlining layer (40) and lower fabric (60) layer, respectively.
- the final form of the collar structure (100) is obtained by connecting the collar belt (102) with the collar stitch.
- the standard collar structure (100) obtained is pressed with a cylinder or toast type press with a pressure of 150-200 grams per square centimeter and a temperature of 130-140 degrees Celsius.
- the gel interlining (40) melts and fixes the upper and lower layers together.
- polygot interlining (30) is not used in the buttoned collar.
- the standard collar includes polygot (Top Fuse) interlining.
- thin interlining (50) (top fuse) layer is laid in the same form on the lower collar fabric (60), and it is applied by pressing with a roller or toast type press at 2-4 kilograms of pressure and a temperature of 160-170 degrees Celsius.
- a better appearance is obtained by connecting the thin interlining with the lower collar fabric piece.
- This structure called the super system collar, comprises of collar upper fabric (10) collar interlining (20) composite, gel interlining (40) layer and thin interlining (50) collar lower fabric (60) composite in its final form.
- the super system collar belt (102) comprises the upper collar fabric (10), the collar interlining (20) composite, the gel interlining (40) layer and the lower fabric (60) layer.
- thin interlining (50) is adhered to lower fabric (60) and connected to a cylinder or toast type press with 2-4 kilograms of pressure and 160-170 degrees Celsius.
- Collar structure (100) is obtained by connecting the collar belt (102) and the collar by stitch. The obtained super system collar structure (100) is pressed with a cylinder or toast type press with a pressure of 150-200 grams per square centimeter and a temperature of 130-140 degrees Celsius. In this way, the gel interlining (40) melts, fixing the upper and lower layers together, and a collar with an integral composite structure is obtained.
- Baleen (70) is preferably used in the two collar structures (100) mentioned. Baleen (70) stands upright of the collars by sewing them into the fabric of the lower collar from the back of the collar or by putting them in between the seams.
- the standard cuff structure (200) comprises the cuff top fabric (10), cuff interlining (20), gel interlining (40), and cuff lower fabric (60) layers, respectively.
- the cuff interlining (20) is pressed to the cuff upper fabric (10) with a cylinder or toast type press with a pressure of 2-4 kilograms and a temperature of 160-170 degrees Celsius.
- Gel interlining (40), kolami 28 and lower fabric (60) are connected to the composite cuff upper fabric by sewing them as in the collar.
- the cuff structure (200) comprises layers of top fabric (10), cuff interlining (20), gel interlining (40), thin interlining (50), lower fabric (60), respectively.
- the cuff interlining top fuse (20) is pressed to the cuff upper fabric (10) with 2-4 kilograms of pressure and a temperature of 160-170 degrees Celsius with a cylinder or toast type press. It is made by connecting the cuff lower fabric (60) with thin interlining (50) and pressing with a cylinder or toast type press at 2-4 kilograms of pressure and 160-170 degrees Celsius.
- the obtained composite upper fabric, composite lower fabric and gel interlining (40) layer are connected by stitching.
