Definitions
- This disclosure relates to a speaker unit.
- a speaker unit includes a magnetic circuit, a voice coil bobbin around which a voice coil is wound, a signal transmission circuit connected to the voice coil, and a diaphragm attached to the peripheral surface of the voice coil bobbin.
- the voice coil vibrates, and the vibration of the voice coil is transmitted to the diaphragm via the voice coil bobbin.
- in-car speaker units need to be mounted in a limited space, so it is desirable to make the speaker unit as a whole thinner.
- the conductor that serves as the signal transmission circuit is joined to the periphery of the voice coil bobbin by soldering or the like, but this joint may interfere with the diaphragm that is also attached to the voice coil bobbin. If the distance between the joint and the mounting part of the diaphragm is increased in order to avoid such interference between the joint and the diaphragm, this will result in an increase in the size of the speaker unit. Furthermore, making the diaphragm thinner (flatter) will reduce the rigidity of the diaphragm.
- This disclosure has been made to solve these problems, and its purpose is to provide a speaker unit that can achieve a thin overall unit while minimizing the loss of rigidity in the diaphragm.
- the speaker unit includes a voice coil bobbin around which a voice coil is wound, a tinsel wire joined to a conductor connected to the voice coil on the circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin, and a diaphragm having an avoidance portion formed in a shape that avoids the joint between the tinsel wire and the conductor.
- the speaker unit disclosed herein uses the above-mentioned means to prevent a decrease in the rigidity of the diaphragm while making it possible to achieve a thin overall unit.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a speaker unit according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
- FIG. 1 is a plan view of a speaker unit according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

- the bending angle of the bent portion 71b toward the other side with respect to the axial direction is acuter than the inclination angle of the inclined portion 71a.
- the avoidance portion 72A is shaped to avoid the joint X between the tinsel wire 52 and the conductor 63 on the diaphragm 71.
- the joint between the tinsel wire 52 and the conductor 63 is performed by soldering
- the joint X is a solder portion.

- the avoidance portion 72B has a similar configuration to the avoidance portion 72A.
- the avoidance portion 72A and the avoidance portion 72B are provided so as to be point symmetrical (i.e., rotationally symmetrical) with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60 in the radial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60 in correspondence with the conductor 63 described above. That is, as shown in FIG. 4, the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is rotationally symmetrical at equal angles with respect to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, in other words, plane symmetrical with respect to a plane passing through the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, and in other words, point symmetrical with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60.
- the second inner edge portion I2 in the avoidance portion 72A and the avoidance portion 72B is substantially trapezoidal in shape, convex on one side.
- the avoidance portion 72A and the avoidance portion 72B include a pair of side wall portions 72a and a top plate portion 72b provided at one end of the pair of side wall portions 72a.
- the pair of side wall portions 72a and the top plate portion 72b each form an obtuse angle.
- At least the top plate portion 72b of the avoidance portions 72A and 72B is positioned on one side of the joint portion X on the circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60, and is shaped to cover the joint portion X, thereby avoiding the joint portion X.
- the inner periphery of the edge portion 73 is attached to one side of the bent portion 71b, and the outer periphery has a semicircular cross section that is convex toward one side in the axial direction (i.e., the side opposite the bending direction of the bent portion 71b), and the outer edge is attached to the second frame portion 42.
- the cap 80 is provided to cover the voice coil bobbin 60 at one end of the voice coil bobbin 60 in order to prevent dust from entering the inside of the voice coil bobbin 60.

Therefore, even if the conductor 63 is joined to the circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60 in the manufacturing process of the speaker unit 1, the diaphragm 70 can be attached to the voice coil bobbin 60 while avoiding interference from the joint portion X.
- the diaphragm 70 as a whole can be brought closer to the tinsel wire-integrated damper 50 side, and the voice coil bobbin 60 can be shortened in the axial direction.
- the avoidance portion 72 72A, 72B is formed on the diaphragm 70, rather than cutting out a part of the diaphragm 70 or making the inner edge portion flat, thereby ensuring the rigidity of the diaphragm 70. Therefore, the speaker unit 1 realizes a thin overall unit while suppressing a decrease in the rigidity of the diaphragm 70.
- avoidance portions 72 (72A, 72B) are newly formed while the main body portion 71 of the diaphragm 70 has the inclined portion 71a, it is possible to avoid poor acoustic characteristics due to inefficient vibration propagation in the diaphragm 70 (for example, anti-resonance due to divided vibration).
- damper 51 that supports the voice coil bobbin 60 and attaching the tinsel wire 52 to the damper 51, there is no need to reserve space to place the tinsel wire 52, making it easier to make the entire unit thinner.

- the first inner edge portion I1 of the inclined portion 71a and the second inner edge portion I2 of the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) are connected to the voice coil bobbin 60, thereby making it possible to strengthen the connection with the voice coil 62.
- the avoidance portions 72 are rotationally symmetric at equal angles with respect to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, plane-symmetric with respect to a plane passing through the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60, and point-symmetric with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis A of the voice coil bobbin 60. This makes it possible to make the vibration propagation efficiency uniform throughout the diaphragm 70, thereby avoiding poor acoustic characteristics.
- the inner edge of the diaphragm 70 is formed along the outer circumferential surface of the voice coil bobbin 60. This allows the vibrations of the voice coil bobbin 60 to be transmitted to the diaphragm 70 from the entire outer periphery of the voice coil bobbin 60, allowing the diaphragm 70 to vibrate efficiently overall.
- the speaker unit 1 further includes a cap 80 that is provided to cover the voice coil bobbin 60 on one side.
- the cap 80 includes an insertion portion 81 that is inserted into the cylindrical interior H of the voice coil bobbin 60, and a cover portion 82 that is provided to protrude from the peripheral surface of the insertion portion 81 in the radial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60.
- the cover portion 82 is provided to have a gap between the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60.
- a gap is formed between the cap 80 and the portion of the diaphragm 70 where the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is formed and the portion of the diaphragm 70 where the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is not formed. Therefore, a gap is formed between the entire circumference of the inner edge of the diaphragm 70 and the cap 80. Then, by applying an adhesive to this gap, the voice coil bobbin 60 can be connected to the diaphragm 70 over the entire circumference of the inner edge. As a result, deterioration of acoustic characteristics can be suppressed.
- the second inner edge I2 of the diaphragm 70 has a convex shape on one side in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60 in the portion where the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B) is formed, thereby increasing the rigidity of the diaphragm 70 in the vicinity of the avoidance portion 72 (72A, 72B).
- the speaker unit 1 further includes a damper 51 that supports the voice coil bobbin 60, and a bent portion 71b is formed on the outer edge of the diaphragm 70, which is bent toward the damper 51 in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60.
- a bent portion 71b is formed on the outer edge of the diaphragm 70, which is bent toward the damper 51 in the axial direction of the voice coil bobbin 60.
- the cap 80 of the speaker unit 1 has a recess D recessed on the other axial side so that it can be inserted into the cylindrical interior H of the voice coil bobbin 60, allowing the speaker unit 1 to be made thinner.

- a pair of avoidance parts 72 (72A, 72B) are provided point symmetrically with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60, but the number and arrangement of the avoidance parts 72 are not limited to this.
- the number of avoidance parts 72 may be at least the same as the number of joints X in the voice coil bobbin 60, and there may be one avoidance part 72 or three or more avoidance parts 72.
- the avoidance parts 72 are preferably arranged in a rotationally symmetric relationship including point symmetry as in the above embodiment.
- avoidance parts 72 are preferably arranged at 120 degree intervals in the circumferential direction with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60, and when four avoidance parts 72 are provided, they are preferably arranged at 90 degree intervals in the circumferential direction with respect to the center of the voice coil bobbin 60.
