Abstract

La présente invention aborde le problème de génération de particules dans une cible de pulvérisation à base de Fe-Pt-BN présentant une densité relative élevée. Cette cible de pulvérisation à base de Fe-Pt-BN est caractérisée en ce qu'elle contient du carbone (C) et de l'oxyde de bore et du BN ou un constituant non magnétique formé d'oxyde de bore et de BN et en ce qu'elle présente une densité relative de 88 % ou plus et une teneur en oxygène supérieure à 4000 ppm en poids mais inférieure ou égale à 10.000 ppm en poids et elle est caractérisée en ce que le rapport d'une concentration en bore soluble dans l'eau (% en poids) à la concentration totale en bore (% en poids) telle que déterminée par une procédure spécifique est de 1,0 % ou plus.
