Abstract

This invention relates to a retractable idler roller frame 10 that includes a base 12, which is operatively mounted to a support structure 11 of a conveyor, and an idler carrier 13 which is releasably connected to the base 12 and vertically displaceable. A relative to the base 12 between an operative or lifted position, where idler rollers 15 are operatively in abutment with a conveyor belt 14 above; and a retracted or lowered position, where the idler carrier 13 has been dropped to a lower position relative to the base 12 and where the idler rollers 15 are operatively spaced away from the belt 14 to permit access to the rollers 15 for removal and replacement of same.
