Abstract

Ein Fahrzeuginsassen-Rückhaltesystem hat ein Kniegassackmodul (12), das ein Außengehäuse (20) aufweist, in dem ein vor seiner Entfaltung zu einem Gassackpaket (15) zusammengelegter Gassack (16) und ein Gasgenerator (18) aufgenommen sind, der Füllgas zum Befüllen des Gassacks (16) erzeugt. Das Außengehäuse (20) weist eine Austrittsöffnung (36) auf, durch die der Gassack (16) bei seiner Entfaltung in den Fahrzeuginnenraum (34) und vor eine Instrumenten tafel (14) gelangt. Am Außengehäuse (20) ist eine starre Leitstruktur (38) vorgesehen, die zwischen dem aufgeblasenen Gassack (16) und der Instrumententafel (14) liegt und die einen Rand (40) eines der Austrittsöffnung (36) benachbarten Abschnitts der Instrumententafel (14) überlappt.
