Abstract
Description
図1(a)に示すように、車両10は、ABS(アンチロック・ブレーキシステム)20及びタイヤ状態監視装置30を搭載している。ABS20は、ABSコントローラ25と、車両10の4つの車輪11にそれぞれ対応する回転センサユニット21~24とを備えている。第1回転センサユニット21は、車両10の前側左側に設けられた左前車輪FLに対応し、第2回転センサユニット22は、車両10の前側右側に設けられた右前車輪FRに対応している。第3回転センサユニット23は、車両10の後側左側に設けられたに左後車輪RLに対応し、第4回転センサユニット24は、車両10の後側右側に設けられた右後車輪RRに対応している。各車輪11は、車両用ホイール12と車両用ホイール12に装着されたタイヤ13とから構成されている。ABSコントローラ25はマイクロコンピュータすなわちプロセッサ等よりなり、各回転センサユニット21~24からの信号に基づき各車輪11の回転位置(回転角度)を求める。また、車両10には、エンジンの始動や、停止など車両10の動作を統括的に制御する制御装置14が搭載されている。制御装置14には、車両10の運転者によるエンジンの始動及び停止を可能にするイグニッションスイッチ15が接続されている。
図1(a)に示すように、タイヤ状態監視装置30は、4つの車輪11にそれぞれ取り付けられた送信機31と、車両10の車体に設置される受信機50とを備えている。各送信機31は、タイヤ13の内部空間に配置されるように、そのタイヤ13が装着された車両用ホイール12に対して取り付けられている。各送信機31は、対応するタイヤ13の状態を検出して、検出されたタイヤ状態を示すデータを含む信号を無線送信する。
図10の(a)に示すように、車両10が加速し、車輪11の回転数(回転速度)が上昇していくと、これに従い加速度センサ34によって検出される加速度も大きくなる。
したがって、上記実施形態によれば、以下のような効果を得ることができる。
・加速度センサ34によって検出される加速度に関わらず、一定間隔で送信機31から位置検出信号が送信されるようにしてもよい。この場合、車両10が停止中の場合や、車両10が低速で走行している場合であっても、位置検出信号が送信される。
・実施形態では、温度センサ33によって検出されるタイヤ13内の温度が低温閾値以下のときに、位置検出信号の送信を行わないようにしたが、これに代えて、位置検出信号の送信頻度を減らしてもよい。
・実施形態では、温度センサ33によって検出されるタイヤ13内の温度が低温閾値以下となったときには、位置検出信号を送信していないが、これに代えて、バッテリ37の電圧を検出して、バッテリ37の電圧が電圧閾値以下となったときに位置検出信号の送信をしないようにしてもよい。電圧閾値としては、例えば、定常信号を送信することができなくなる値よりも若干高めの値に設定される。また、温度センサ33によって検出されるタイヤ13内の温度、及び、バッテリ37の電圧の両方から位置検出信号を送信するか否かを判定してもよい。
・受信コントローラ51に受信強度を取得させるときに、定常信号に、受信強度の取得開始を指示するデータを含めて送信してもよい。そして、コントローラ35は、受信強度の取得開始を指示するデータを含めた定常信号を送信した後、受信強度の取得停止を指示する信号を送信することで、受信強度を所定の時間取得するようにしてもよい。
・パルスの立ち上がりと立ち下がりの両方をカウントしたが、パルスの立ち上がり又はパルスの立ち下がりのみをカウントしてもよい。この場合、パルスカウント値は、立ち上がりと立ち下がりの両方をカウントするときの半分となる。
・送信閾値は、走行判定用閾値と同一の値であってもよい。すなわち、定常信号の送信が位置検出信号の送信と同時に開始されてもよい。
・定常信号には、タイヤ13内の温度を示すデータが含まれていてもよい。
・位置検出信号の送信停止は、トリガ装置から送信機31に送信停止の解除を指示する信号を送信することで行ってもよい。
Claims (4)
- 複数の車輪それぞれの回転位置を検出する回転位置検出部を有する車両に搭載される車輪位置特定装置であって、
前記複数の車輪それぞれに設けられた送信機と、
前記車両の車体に設けられた受信機と、を備え、
前記送信機は、
前記受信機に位置検出信号を送信するように構成される送信部と、
前記送信部に前記位置検出信号を所定の送信時間以上継続して送信させるように構成される制御部と、を有し、
前記受信機は、
前記位置検出信号を受信するように構成される受信部と、
受信した前記位置検出信号の受信強度を測定するように構成される測定部と、
前記各車輪が1回転する間に受信された前記位置検出信号毎に、前記受信強度が極値となるときの前記車輪の回転位置を複数回検出し、前記受信強度が極値となるときの前記車輪の回転位置のばらつきから対応する前記送信機が設けられた前記車輪の位置を特定するように構成される車輪位置特定部と、を有する車輪位置特定装置。 - 前記各送信機は、対応する前記車輪の回転に伴い遠心力が作用する方向への加速度を検出する加速度センサを有し、
前記各制御部は、対応する前記加速度センサによって検出される加速度が前記車両の走行と停止を判断する走行判定用閾値よりも大きいときに前記車両が走行していると判断し、対応する前記加速度センサによって検出される加速度が、前記走行判定用閾値以上の値である送信閾値より大きいときに、対応する前記送信部から前記位置検出信号を送信させるように構成される請求項1に記載の車輪位置特定装置。 - 前記各制御部は、対応する前記加速度センサによって検出される加速度に応じて前記位置検出信号を送信する時間を変動させるように構成される請求項2に記載の車輪位置特定装置。
- 前記各制御部は、対応する前記加速度センサによって検出される加速度が前記送信閾値より大きくなった後、前記位置検出信号を予め定められた回数送信させた後、該位置検出信号の送信を停止させるように構成される請求項2又は請求項3に記載の車輪位置特定装置。
