Abstract

庫内を-80℃以下という超低温に冷却して、例えば細胞や微生物などを保管するのに用いられる超低温二元冷凍装置であって、オゾン破壊係数(ODP)および地球温暖化係数(GWP)に係る懸念がなく、安定性に優れ、オイルセパレータが不要であり、また冷媒量を低減したり、コンプレッサの出力を低減したりできる二元冷凍装置を提供する。カスケードコンデンサにて高温側冷凍サイクルと低温側冷凍サイクルとを連結して成る二元冷凍装置において、前記高温側冷凍サイクルには冷媒としてのプロパンと冷凍機油を充填するとともに、前記低温側冷凍サイクルには冷媒として沸点が-80℃以下の炭化水素と冷凍機油とオイル戻り剤を充填したことを特徴とする二元冷凍装置により課題を解決できる。
