Abstract

The invention relates to a smoke or fire protection covering (10) for closing a building opening (18), comprising (a) at least one fire protection element (12), (b) at least one drive (20) by means of which the fire protection element (12) can be moved into a storage position (φL), in which the building opening (18) is unclosed, and into a closure position in which the building opening (18) is closed, and a position sensor (26) by means of which a position of the fire protection element (12) can be determined, (d) wherein the drive (20) has an activation unit (28), characterized in that (e) the at least one drive (20) is configured to regulate the position of the fire protection element (12) to the storage position (φL).
