Abstract

Verdichter (10) mit einem Druckraum (12.Ί3), der durch mindestens zwei Gehäuseteile (20;30) abgegrenzt ist, wobei die Gehäuseteile (20;30) Dichtflächen (25;35) aufweisen, welche mittels einer Verbindungseinrichtung verbunden werden, die eine Anpresskraft zwischen den Dichtflächen (25;35) aufbringt, gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass an mindestens einer Dichtfläche (25;35) mindestens eine in Umfangsrichtung verlaufende Nut (40a;40b) angeordnet ist und dass wenigstens eine Entlastungsöffnung an mindestens einem der Gehäuseteile (20;30) angeordnet ist, welche die Nut (40a;40b) mit der Umgebung (11) des Verdichters verbindet, wobei die wenigstens eine Entlastungsöffnung von der in Umfangsrichtung verlaufenden Nut (40a;40b) ausgeht, und wobei die Nut (40a;40b) so angeordnet ist, dass sich bei Überschreiten eines vorbestimmten Höchstdrucks im Druckraum (13) druckaufbauendes Medium (E) in der Nut (40a;40b) sammeln und zumindest teilweise durch die Entlastungsöffnung entweichen kann.
