中央折曲誘導部43としては、吸収性コア40に、非積繊部に代えて、吸収性コア40の長手方向に延びるスリットや、吸収性コア40の長手方向に延びる溝を形成しても良い。また、上部吸収層411と下部吸収層412とを有する多層構造の吸収性コア40においては、上部吸収層411にスリットを設ける一方、下部吸収層412に非積繊部(平面視縦長矩形状の貫通孔)を設けて、そのスリットと非積繊部を重ねても良いし、上部吸収層411に非積繊部(平面視縦長矩形状の貫通孔)に設ける一方、下部吸収層412にスリットを形成して、その非積繊部とスリットとを重ねても良い。
スリットとは、非積繊部であり比較的に幅が狭い形状の貫通孔である。
そして、吸収性コア40の長手方向における腹側部A側においては、中央折曲誘導部43が、側部折曲誘導部44それぞれの端部44a,44aの位置より腹側部A側に延出しており、吸収性コア40の長手方向における背側部B側においては、側部折曲誘導部44,44が、それぞれ、中央折曲誘導部43の端部43bの位置より背側部B側に延出している。
股下部Cにおいて吸収性コア40がW字状に屈曲することにより、吸収性コア40が、着用者の脚Eより加えられる圧力に対して柔軟に変形し、脚に加わる圧力やそれによる抵抗感や違和感等が軽減される。また、吸収性コア40の幅方向における側部折曲誘導部44より外方の側部部分46が起立してその端部が着用者の肌、好ましくは鼠蹊部に沿って位置することにより、良好な横漏れ防止性も得られる。
また、同様の観点から、中央折曲誘導部43は、側部折曲誘導部44の腹側部側の端部44aの位置からの延出長さL2(図2参照)が、5~40cmであることが好ましく、より好ましくは10~30cmである。また、股下部Cの前記長さLcとの関係で言えば、前記延出長さL2は、股下部Cの前記長さLcの2~15%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは3~12%である。
これにより、大便が肌に密着することによる不快感や肌に付着した大便の拭き取り作業の労力等が防止ないし大幅に軽減される。また、大便の漏れ防止性にも優れている。
大便の排泄部付近に、大便を良好に保持し得る凹状のポケットPを形成させる観点から、側部折曲誘導部44は、着用者の大便排泄部(肛門)の位置より背側部B側に延びていることが好ましい。他方、中央折曲誘導部43は、着用者の大便排泄部(肛門)の位置より背側部B側に延びていないことが好ましく、中央折曲誘導部43の背側部B側の端部43bが、大便の排泄部の位置より腹側部側にあることが好ましい。
また、同様の観点から、中央折曲誘導部43の背側部側の端部43bは、背側部Bからの離間距離L7(図2参照)が、80~150cmであることが好ましく、より好ましくは100~130cmである。また、同様の観点から、中央折曲誘導部43の背側部側の端部43bは、背側部B側のウエスト部端7bからの離間距離L8(図2参照)が、おむつの全長L(図2参照)の30~60%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは40~50%である。
また、吸収性本体5の両側には、防漏カフ6,6が形成されている。防漏カフ6は、吸収性本体5に接合された防漏カフ形成用シート60、防漏カフ形成用シート60の自由端近傍に伸長状態で固定された防漏カフ形成用の弾性部材61、及び防漏カフ6の固定端と自由端との間に伸長状態で固定された防漏カフ中間弾性部材62を備えている。
図2に示す例では、防漏カフ形成用シート60として、所定幅の帯状の撥水性シートの1枚を、その長手方向に沿って二つ折りして、相対向する層間をホットメルト型接着剤又は部分的な熱シール若しくは超音波シール等で接合した2層構造のシートを用いており、前述した弾性部材61,62は、この2層構造シートの層間に伸長状態で固定されている。
外包材形成用シート11,12は、何れも不織布から構成されている。これら2枚のシートのうちの一方又は双方は、ウエスト開口部7の周縁部において折り返され、その折り返された部分が、吸収性本体5の前後端における該吸収性本体5の肌当接面側に固定されている。
但し、吸収性コア40の長手方向に沿う弾性部材がなくても、おむつを装着する際におむつの腹側部Aの幅方向中央部を掴んで引き上げる力や、着用時に股下部Cの両側に加わる、着用者の大腿からの力により、吸収性コア40は、図4(a)や図4(b)に示すような形態に変形し得る。そのため、吸収性コア40の長手方向に沿う弾性部材が存在することは必須ではない。
使い捨ておむつ及びその吸収性コアにおいて、肌当接面側及び上側は、使い捨ておむつの着用時に着用者の肌側に向けられる面側であり、非肌当接面側及び下側は、該使い捨ておむつの着用時に着用者の肌側とは反対側に向けられる面側である。
おむつ1’は、図5及び図6に示すように、着用時に着用者の腹側に配される腹側部A、股間部に配される股下部C及び背側に配される背側部Bを有している。外包材10は、腹側部Aの両側縁部と背側部Bの両側縁部とが接合されており、それによって、おむつ1’に、一対のサイドシール部S,S、ウエスト開口部7及び一対のレッグ開口部8,8が形成されている。
サイド吸収部42’,42’は、図7に示すように、下部吸収層412に貫通孔を設けて形成した側部非積繊部44’,44’のそれぞれより幅方向(Y方向)の外方に位置する部分であり、中央吸収部41’は、側部非積繊部44’,44’間に位置する部分である。
なお、上部吸収層411は、おむつ1’の股下部Cから腹側部Aに亘って配されており、下部吸収層412は、股下部Cを縦断して腹側部A及び背側部Bに亘っている。
他方、中央非積繊部43’は、中央吸収部41’における吸収性コア40の少なくとも上面側の一部が欠落した部分である。中央非積繊部43’は、上部吸収層の厚み以上の深さがあることが好ましく、また、図7に示すように中央非積撰部43に隣接する部位における中央吸収部41’の厚みtとほぼ同程度の深さを有することがより好ましい。
前記の工夫としては、後述する好ましい製造方法において説明するように、側部非積繊部44’における上下のコアラップシート45a,45bどうしを接合させる際に、側部非積繊部44’に対応する部分に押し込み部を有し中央非積繊部43’に対応する部分に押し込み部を有しない加圧ロール141を用いることにより、側部非積繊部44’,44’間のコアラップシート45aに張力を加えること等が挙げられる。但し、コアラップシート45aの中央非積繊部43’に対応する部分や、中央非積繊部43’が貫通孔である場合に、コアラップシート45bの中央非積繊部43’に対応する部分に接着剤を粘着剤等の接着剤を配する場合、中央非積繊部43’の幅W4は20mm以下、特に12mm以下とすることが、該接着剤を介した接合を防止する観点から好ましい。
そのため、吸水性ポリマーの吸収性能が充分に発現される。そのため、例えば、吸水性ポリマーの配合により使い捨ておむつの性能を効果的に向上させることができる。
その一方、側部非積繊部44’において、吸収性コアの上下に配されたコアラップシート45a,45bどうしが接合されていることによって、吸収性コア40の保形性にも優れている。即ち、おむつの着用中などに、中央吸収部41’やサイド吸収部42’,42’の形が崩れたり、それらの相互間の配置に乱れが生じたりすることが防止される。
また、第2実施形態における側部非積繊部44’は、吸収性コア40の長手方向への液の拡散性を高めたり、吸収性コア40の幅方向の屈曲性を高める機能を有する。
そして、股下部Cにおける吸収性コア40が並列領域R1を有することにより、図8(a)に示すように、おむつ着用時に、並列領域R1における吸収性コア40が、中央非積繊部43’が山部、側部非積繊部44’,44’が谷部となるように、W字状に屈曲する。
股下部Cにおいて吸収性コア40がW字状に屈曲することにより、吸収性コア40が、着用者の脚Eより加えられる圧力に対して柔軟に変形し、脚に加わる圧力やそれによる抵抗感や違和感等が軽減される。また、吸収性コア40の幅方向における側部非積繊部44’より外方の側部部分46が起立してその端部が着用者の肌、好ましくは鼠蹊部に沿って位置することにより、良好な横漏れ防止性も得られる。
また、サイド吸収部42’の幅W1’(図7参照)は、吸収性コア40の幅W2(図7参照)の5~30%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは10~25%である。また、中央吸収部41’の幅W3’(図7参照)は、吸収性コア40の幅W2の20~70%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは25~50%である。また、中央非積繊部43’の幅W4’は、1~25mmであることが好ましく、より好ましくは2~15mmである。また、中央吸収部41’の幅W3’との関係では、中央非積繊部43’の幅W4’は、中央吸収部41’の幅W3’の3~30%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは5~25%である。また、側部非積繊部44’の幅W5’は、1~35mmであることが好ましく、より好ましくは5~25mmである。また、吸収性コア40の幅W2との関係では、側部非積繊部44’の幅W5’は、吸収性コア40の幅W2の1~30%であることが好ましく、より好ましくは5~20%である。
また、吸収性本体5の両側には、防漏カフ6,6が形成されている。防漏カフ6は、吸収性本体5に接合された防漏カフ形成用シート60、防漏カフ形成用シート60の自由端近傍に伸長状態で固定された防漏カフ形成用の弾性部材61、及び防漏カフ6の固定端と自由端との間に伸長状態で固定された防漏カフ中間弾性部材62を備えている。
図7に示す例では、防漏カフ形成用シート60として、所定幅の帯状の撥水性シートの1枚を、その長手方向に沿って二つ折りして、相対向する層間をホットメルト型接着剤又は部分的な熱シール若しくは超音波シール等で接合した2層構造のシートを用いており、前述した弾性部材61,62は、この2層構造シートの層間に伸長状態で固定されている。
外包材形成用シート11,12は、何れも不織布から構成されている。これら2枚のシートのうちの一方又は双方は、ウエスト開口部7の周縁部において折り返され、その折り返された部分が、吸収性本体5の前後端における該吸収性本体5の肌当接面側に固定されている。
但し、吸収性コア40の長手方向に沿う弾性部材がなくても、おむつを装着する際におむつの腹側部Aの幅方向中央部を掴んで引き上げる力や、着用時に股下部Cの両側に加わる、着用者の大腿からの力により、吸収性コア40は、図4(a)や図4(b)に示すような形態に変形し得る。
おむつ1,1’の各部の形成材料としては、従来の使い捨ておむつの当該部分に用いられる各種のものを特に制限なく用いることができる。例えば、表面シート2としては、親水性且つ液透過性の不織布、樹脂フィルムに開孔を形成したもの等を用いることができ、裏面シート3としては、透湿性又は非透湿性の樹脂フィルムや該樹脂フィルムと不織布の積層体等を用いることができる。
吸収性コア40を構成する繊維集合体を構成する繊維としては、例えば、パルプ繊維、レーヨン繊維、コットン繊維、酢酸セルロース等の親水性繊維、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等のポリオレフィン系繊維、ポリエステル、ポリアミド等の縮合系繊維等を用いることできる。繊維集合体は、空気流に載せて供給した繊維材料を、所定形状の凹部内に吸引して堆積させる積繊工程を経て得られるものが好ましい。繊維材料とともに機能性材料を混合積繊したものであっても良い。機能性材料の保持形態は、2枚の繊維集合体間に挟んで保持する形態や、混合積繊して繊維間に保持させた状態等が挙げられる。繊維及び吸水性ポリマー等の機能性材料は、それぞれ、一種又は二種以上を組み合わせて用いることができる。吸水性ポリマーとしては、例えば、ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム、(アクリル酸-ビニルアルコール)共重合体、ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム架橋体、(でんぷん-アクリル酸)グラフト共重合体、(イソブチレン-無水マレイン酸)共重合体及びそのケン化物、ポリアスパラギン酸等からなる粒子等が挙げられる。
おむつ1’の好ましい製造方法は、中央非積繊部43’を有する中央吸収部41’と、該中央吸収部41’との間に側部非積繊部44’を有する一対のサイド吸収部42’,42’を有する吸収性コア40を製造する工程(図示せず)、コアラップシート45’における側部非積繊部44’に対応する部分に接着剤47を配する工程、及び上下面にコアラップシート45’を配された状態の吸収性コア40を、側部非積繊部44’に対応する部分それぞれに押し込み部141aを有し中央非積繊部43’に対応する部分に押し込み部を有しない加圧ロール141で加圧し、上下のコアラップシート45’の一方又は双方を側部非積繊部44’に押し込んで、上下のコアラップシート45a,45bどうしを接合させる工程を具備する吸収体4’の製造工程を具備する。
また、吸収性本体5は、吸収性コア40の長手方向に沿って延びる弾性部材を有しないものであってもよい。
また、高坪量部は、単層構造の吸収性コアの一部に設けた肉厚部分であっても良い。また、中央折曲誘導部となるスリット、溝又は非積繊部、及び側部折曲誘導部となる非積繊部は、連続線状のものに代えて、部分的に不連続な部分を有するものであっても良い。
また、中央非積繊部43’及び側部非積繊部44’は、吸収性コア40を、図4(a)及び図4(b)に示すように屈曲させるものであることが好ましい。
また、使い捨ておむつ1’において、接着剤48及び/又は接着剤49による接合部は設けないこともできる。
Claims (15)
- 縦長の吸収性コアを含む吸収体を具備し、着用者の腹側に配される腹側部、股間部に配される股下部及び背側に配される背側部を有する使い捨ておむつであって、
前記吸収性コアは、股下部における幅方向中央部に吸収性コアを形成する材料が高坪量の高坪量部を有し、該高坪量部の両側に該高坪量部より吸収性コアを形成する材料が低坪量の低坪量部を有しており、
前記高坪量部に、吸収性コアの長手方向に延びるスリット、溝又は非積繊部からなる中央折曲誘導部を有し、前記低坪量部それぞれに、非積繊部からなる側部折曲誘導部を有しており、
前記吸収性コアの長手方向における前記腹側部側においては、前記中央折曲誘導部が、前記側部折曲誘導部の端部位置より延出しており、
前記吸収性コアの長手方向における前記背側部側においては、前記側部折曲誘導部が、前記中央折曲誘導部の端部位置より延出している使い捨ておむつ。 - 前記高坪量部は、前記中央折曲誘導部と前記側部折曲誘導部とが並列している領域から、前記腹側部側に向かって幅が拡大している請求項1記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記中央折曲誘導部は、前記腹側部側の端部が該腹側部に達していない請求項1又は2記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記側部折曲誘導部は、前記中央折曲誘導部の背側部側の端部の位置からの延出長さL6が、20~120cmである、請求項1~3の何れか1項記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記中央折曲誘導部は、着用者の大便排泄部の位置より背側部側に延びておらず、前記側部折曲誘導部は、着用者の大便排泄部の位置より背側部側に延びている、請求項1~4の何れか1項記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記吸収性コアは、上部吸収層と、該上部吸収層より長手方向及び幅方向の寸法が大きい下部吸収層とを有しており、該下部吸収層上に該上部吸収層が積層されている部分が前記高坪量部、該下部吸収層上に該上部吸収層が積層されていない部分が前記低坪量部であり、
前記中央折曲誘導部は、前記上部吸収層及び前記下部吸収層に、両者を貫通する縦長矩形状の貫通孔を形成してなる、請求項1~5の何れか1項記載の使い捨ておむつ。 - 前記貫通孔は、前記上部吸収層及び前記下部吸収層を、それぞれ貫通孔を有するものとして製造した後、両吸収層を、両者の貫通孔どうしが重なるように積層してなる、請求項6記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記非積繊部は、吸収性コアを形成する材料が存在しない部分である請求項1~7の何れか1項に記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記非積繊部に存する、吸収性コアを形成する材料の坪量が50g/m2以下である請求項1~7の何れか1項記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記吸収性コアは、吸水性ポリマーを含んでおり、
前記吸収体は、前記吸収性コア及び該吸収性コアの上下面を被覆するコアラップシートを有しており、
前記側部折曲誘導部において、前記吸収性コアの上下に配されたコアラップシートどうしが接合されており、前記中央折曲誘導部においては、前記吸収性コアの上側に配されたコアラップシートが、その直下に位置する部材に接合されていない、請求項1~9の何れか1項記載の使い捨ておむつ。 - 前記吸収性コアは、前記股下部に、該吸収性コアの長手方向に延びる中央吸収部及び該中央吸収部の長手方向の両側に位置する一対のサイド吸収部を有し、
前記吸水性ポリマーは、前記中央吸収部に、前記サイド吸収部よりも高坪量に配されている請求項10記載の使い捨ておむつ。 - 前記中央吸収部が、上部吸収層と下部吸収層とを有する多層構造を有し、前記吸水性ポリマーが、上部吸収層に、下部吸収層より高坪量に含まれている請求項10又は11記載の使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記吸収体を具備する吸収性本体と、該吸収性本体の非肌当接面側に位置して該吸収性本体を固定している外包材とを備え、
前記外包材は、前記腹側部の両側縁部と前記背側部の両側縁部とが接合されており、一対のサイドシール部、ウエスト開口部及び一対のレッグ開口部が形成されている請求項1~12の何れか1項記載のパンツ型使い捨ておむつ。 - 前記外包材は、着用者の背側に配される背側シート部材と腹側に配される腹側シート部材とに分割されており、背側シート部材と腹側シート部材とが一対の前記サイドシール部で接合されて筒状をなしているとともに、前記吸収性本体が、背側シート部材と腹側シート部材との間に架け渡して固定されている外包材分割タイプの使い捨ておむつである、請求項13記載のパンツ型使い捨ておむつ。
- 前記背側部にファスニングテープを有し、前記腹側部の外面に、該ファスニングテープを止着するランディングテープを設けた展開型の使い捨ておむつである、請求項1~14の何れか1項記載の使い捨ておむつ。
