Description
PATENT SPECIFICATION
TRAILING DISTANCE CONTROL SYSTEM IN MOTOR VEHICLES
Technical field
This invention is about a distance trailing control system to be used in motor vehicles intended to prevent and minimize traffic accidents by drawing the attention of drivers in transit. There is a warning signal fixed on to the body of the car where the other drivers can visibly see the signal.
The warning signal reacts in different warning signals and colors according to the different speed limits of the approaching car which the car with the system fixed on it, thus warning the other drivers of the upcoming dangers.
Prior Art There are many reasons as to why pecuniary damaged traffic accidents occur in our present day and time. But one of the major reasons why is due to the inability to control and calculate the distance between motor vehicles in transit. The car approaching from behind to another car in front of it should be capable of calculating its trailing distance and should always think of the stopping distance in between, so it should approach the car infront of it accordingly.
In theory there are many developments on the matter. One of these developments is the TR 2009 02100 numbered Turkish utility model document (certificate) which states that all motor vehicles should have at least one stop lamp which increases its light as stepped on the breaks, the same system should be applied for when the driver makes turns or reverses the car. These lamps should increase in volume or change color as the driver steps on the breaks, steps on the gas, makes turns or shifts the car to reverse.
But the so called warning signal lamp only notifies the driver behind you that their car is moving. Another document to be found in theory is the DE 1990 0929 numbered German Patented document where a screen is fixed onto the back side (trunk area) of the car.
On this screen, the speed of that car in transit on which the car the signal is fixed appears. This screen does not in any way draw the attention of the surrounding drivers. With time the driver following the car with the screen gets used to this signal and is not disturbed by it at all.
Another document in theory is the JP 581 41945 numbered Japanes Patented document the vehicle in transit displays its speed limit beforehand and this is transmitted to the other approaching vehicles as a warning in the form of an audio-signal by sound. But this warning system is not adaptable to many since listening to music in the car will most probably unable the drivers to hear this warning signal.
As mentioned above, there is no significant and applicable distance trailing control system in force which can effectively warn the drivers in transit of any upcoming dangers.
A Brief Description Of The Invention The aim of this invention is to provide the drivers & vehicles in transit with an effective distance trailing control system in order to prevent any accidents by furnishing them with the right kind of warning system which effectively shows them in advance, the speed of the car infront of them.
Detailed Describtion Of The Invention
The distance trailing control system configuration diagram as is wished to be applied is shown here after.
From this diagram we may understand the invention's configuration better:
Figure 1 : the electrical schema diagram of the distance trailing control system configured on motor vehicles.
Figure 2: the schema of the warning signal fixed on to the vehicle's body of the distance trailing control system configured on motor vehicles.
The parts forming the distance trailing control system configured on motor vehicles are listed and numerized here below:
1. The distance trailing control system configured on motor vehicles
2. The vehicle
3. The quadrant
4. The signal
5. The micro-controller
This distance trailing control system configured in motor vehicles (1) invention comprising:
- A gas pedal which accelerates the speed of the vehicle (2) with the ignitioned by the driver,
- A speed quadrant (3) display which shows the vehicle (2) speed limit to the driver,
- A micro-controller system (5) which is fixed on to the exterior body of the vehicle (2) showing the speed of the vehicle (2) with visual flashing light signals (4) warning the other vehicles (2) of the speed. This is done
through a color changing, flashing light signal (4) system which works due to this micro-controller system (5) manipulated by the speed quadrant. (3)
These micro-controllers (5) are micro-computers which are combined on a silicone chip. They harbour many other data and program memories, numerological entries and exits, analogical entries and many other factors within them.
The signal (4) light belonging to the distance trailing control system configured in motor vehicles (2) is ignitioned by the micro-controllers (5) in accordance with the speed of the car and the light color changes and flashes in different colors as per the other lights of the car (break lights, reverse light, turn lights etc...)
The micro-controller system (1) belonging to the distance trailing control system in motor vehicles is fixed to the speed quandrant (3) and the signals (4). The micro-controller (5) captivates the speed of the car and gives out the necessary signals accordingly.
The flashing signal (4) system belonging to the distance trailing control system in motor vehicles is fixed onto the body of the vehicle (2) where it can be visibly seen by the driver in trail, (at least one signal is necessary)
If one signal (4) is fixed onto the front and back headlights then the cars (2) infront and behind the vehicle (2) with this system would be able to see the speed of the car (2) of concern. Pedestrians would benefit from this system too. For example, school children who try to cross the road would benefit the most from this system. Another function of this invention is to implement the speed warning signal (4) to the fog light of the car. This would prevent any modifications been made to the car and would be cost-friendly.
In this framework, many variations and developments (1) can be made to improve this distance trailing control system configured on motor vehicles and has a bright future awaiting it since it has a big demand and supply capacity.
Claims
CLAIMS 1.) This distance trailing control system configured in motor vehicles (1) invention includes:
A gas pedal which accelerates the speed of the vehicle (2) with the ignitioned by the driver,
A speed quadrant (3) display which shows vehicle (2) the speed limit to the driver,
A micro-controller system (5) which is fixed on to the exterior body of the vehicle (2) showing the speed of the vehicle (2) with visual flashing light signals (4) warning the other vehicles (2) of the speed. This is done through a color changing, flashing light signal (4) system which works due to this micro-controller system (5) manipulated by the speed quadrant (3).
