Abstract

Selon l'invention, un cylindre (1) comportant une couche de surface (4) appliquée sur le cylindre est fabriqué par application d'un matériau de surface liquide sur le cylindre lorsque celui-ci est en rotation (8), et par répartition du matériau à l'épaisseur voulue au moyen d'un corps marginal (5) le long du côté du cylindre et à un écart (6) par rapport à celui-ci. Ainsi, il est possible de fabriquer un cylindre présentant un revêtement de surface en une seule étape de travail, du fait qu'une surface uniforme et totalement lisse est obtenue, surface ne nécessitant aucun traitement ultérieur tel que par ex. par rectification. La fabrication est ainsi simplifiée et une économie de matériau est réalisée, et l'application est par ailleurs rationalisée du fait qu'un traitement ultérieur est superflu, la pollution ou les désagréments dus à la poussière sont également éliminés.
