Definitions
- the invention relates to a box with a hull, which is closed at its one end face by a bottom and at its opposite end by a closure unit of a lid ring attached to it with a peelable membrane with membrane tab.
- the invention further relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a lid-side closure and membrane cover-side closure unit for a can.
- cans are understood to mean composite cans made of cardboard composite as well as plastic and metal cans.
- Cans of the aforementioned type are used for packaging of powdery, granular, small-sized and viscous foods and tobacco products. It is always about a moisture and gas or aroma-tight accommodation of the contents.
- the bottom-side closure at the one end side of the fuselage is achieved in a relatively simple manner after completion of the filling process of the inverted can by means of suitable techniques, for example crimping on a baseplate. More complex is the necessary before filling attaching the closure unit on the opposite end.
- One known closure unit consists of a punched out ⁇ lid ring of metal, having a flat annular surface at its inner periphery to which a metallic see membrane is sealed with peripheral pull tab.
- the metallic cover ring is crimped with its outer contour with appropriate design on the front side of the fuselage.
- the membrane can be separated by pulling on the pull-tab in the so-called Peel method.
- a slip lid is provided, which is externally latched on the flange of the metallic cover ring.
- the invention has for its object to provide a can with a simple, yet gas-tight and moisture-proof closure unit, a method suitable for the production of the closure unit and a device for producing such a closure unit.
- the first part of the invention task is solved in that the cover ring is formed as an injection molded plastic and provided with the front side of the fuselage ring- the annular groove and sprayed on the occasion of injection molding on the peelable plastic coating of the membrane is, and that the cover ring is connected to the membrane after placement by means of the annular groove on the front side of the fuselage with this gas and liquid-tight.
- the invention uses a cover ring made of plastic, which is produced by injection molding and sprayed onto the peelable coating of the membrane on the occasion of injection molding.
- a complete closure unit is obtained which, in contrast to the prior art, is not thermally connected by crimping, but thermally via a hot-melt or, in the case of composite cans and plastic cans, also by ultrasound or high frequency to the front side of the fuselage.
- the cover ring on the outside latching cross-fitting Stülpdeckel is placed on the membrane, which serves as a closure for the can after removal of the membrane.
- a method for producing a closure unit from a cover ring and a peelable membrane is characterized in that the cover ring made of plastic is injected in egg ⁇ nem two-part injection mold, wherein the injection-side mold part, a base side CLOSED ⁇ sene cavity and the other tool part has a two-sided open cavity, which is associated with a distance a plate having a punching tool, and that in the space between the tool part with both ends open cavity and the plate with the punching tool, an endless belt made of a material forming the membrane with its peelable coating of the open cavity and is passed in the leading time offset for injection molding the punch against the tool part facing her and simultaneously or thereafter against the injection-side tool part and thereby or previously punched out of the endless belt in each case a membrane is, and that the cavity open on both sides is covered on its side facing the punching tool side of the punched-out membrane, and that during the subsequent injection molding of the plastic lid ring produced with the peelable Be istungsu ng the membrane is sprayed to
- the production of the entire closure unit thus takes place in a clocked process, without the need for separate handling of one of the parts of the closure unit.
- the punched-out membrane forms with its edge region at the same time the conclusion of the cavity open on both sides, so acts as a form-forming surface for her facing surface of the plastic cover ring.
- the circumferential annular groove of the cover ring is formed on the occasion of the injection molding on the inside of the plastic cover ring and then serves to attach the closure unit on the front side of the fuselage.
- the gas- and liquid-tight connection is then effected by hot-melt or, depending on the work- Cloth pairing by ultrasound or high frequency.
- the endless belt is laterally guided in a guide approximately corresponding to its width in the side of the tool part facing the punching tool with a cavity that is open on both sides. This ensures that the endless belt is guided aligned in front of the one side of the cavity open on both sides in the second tool part.
- the method is modified so that the tear tab pre-punched in the endless belt, folded over in the next working cycle on the back of the end losbandes and adhered, and then punched out the closure membrane having folded down flap along the molding position becomes.
- the endless belt is preferably withdrawn from a roll in a time cycle adapted to the injection molding cycle.
- the roller is preferably arranged with a horizontal axis and the endless belt is fed vertically running.
- closure unit consisting of ring part and membrane is attached to the front side of the fuselage after ejection from the injection molding tool by means of hot-melt or one of the other mentioned connection techniques.
- An apparatus for producing a cover ring and membrane existing, cover-side closure unit for a can is characterized in that a two-part Injection molding tool for spraying the cover ring made of plastic with an injection-side tool part is provided with cavity closed on one side and a second tool part with cavity open on both sides and this is assigned a movable plate with punch whose line of action approximately corresponds to the outline of the open side of the cavity, wherein between the second tool part and the plate with the punching tool an endless belt made of the material for the membrane can be passed, and that the plate with the punch for punching the membrane from the endless belt with the second tool part moved together and at the same time or after closing the injection molding tool against the injection side Tool part are movable.
- the device consists of a three-part tool, namely a two-part injection molding tool and a plate with punching tool, which faces the tool part with the cavity open on both sides and the Zupar- tion for the endless strip material for punching the sealing membrane, which at the same time the injection mold part closes off the turned-off side of the open mold cavity of the second tool part during the injection molding process.
- the membrane thus forms its own seat and adhesive surface on the plastic cover ring.
- the second tool part of the injection molding tool has, on its side facing the plate with the punching tool, a side guide corresponding to the width of the endless belt for ensuring that the endless belt reaches precisely before the open side of the cavity of the second tool part.
- the endless belt is preferably guided vertically through the device.
- the endless belt with external peelable plastic coating is arranged on a roller with a horizontal axis and by pulling the space between the second tool part and the plate with the punch tool is movable.
- the endless belt is intermittently peelable according to the axial spacing of the punched-out membranes from the roll, wherein the trigger stroke is adapted to the injection molding cycle of the injection molding ⁇ zeugs.
- the drive and control means provided for this purpose are obvious to a person skilled in the art and therefore require no explanation here.

Abstract
Description
Dose, Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Verschlusseinheit für eine Dose und Vorrichtung zur Herstellung einer solchen Verschlusseinheit Box, method for producing a closure unit for a can and apparatus for producing such a closure unit
The invention relates to a box with a hull, which is closed at its one end face by a bottom and at its opposite end by a closure unit of a lid ring attached to it with a peelable membrane with membrane tab. The invention further relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a lid-side closure and membrane cover-side closure unit for a can. For the purposes of the invention, cans are understood to mean composite cans made of cardboard composite as well as plastic and metal cans.
Dabei geht es stets um eine feuchtigkeits- und gas- bzw. aromadichte Unterbringung des Füllgutes .Cans of the aforementioned type are used for packaging of powdery, granular, small-sized and viscous foods and tobacco products. It is always about a moisture and gas or aroma-tight accommodation of the contents.
Doses of said structure are known in a variety of embodiments, which is why details, especially as far as the design of the fuselage, need not be discussed in detail. The bottom-side closure at the one end side of the fuselage is achieved in a relatively simple manner after completion of the filling process of the inverted can by means of suitable techniques, for example crimping on a baseplate. More complex is the necessary before filling attaching the closure unit on the opposite end. One known closure unit consists of a punched out ¬ lid ring of metal, having a flat annular surface at its inner periphery to which a metallic see membrane is sealed with peripheral pull tab. The metallic cover ring is crimped with its outer contour with appropriate design on the front side of the fuselage. To remove the filling material, the membrane can be separated by pulling on the pull-tab in the so-called Peel method. In order to close the can again after separation of the membrane, a slip lid is provided, which is externally latched on the flange of the metallic cover ring.
This closure unit and its manufacture are expensive, especially since the membrane and cover ring must be brought to each other in a separate process protection.
Daneben sind andere Verschließtechniken bekannt, bei denen die Stirnseite des Rumpfs durch Rollen nach außen in denIn addition, other closing techniques are known in which the front side of the hull by rolling outwards in the
Flanging involved. This procedure is technically unsatisfactory in most cases, since there is the danger that, in the case of a composite can, this will tear the cardboard composite material or its inner coating outwards during rolling. The same applies to metal cans. Also, the sealing surfaces are not clearly defined.
The invention has for its object to provide a can with a simple, yet gas-tight and moisture-proof closure unit, a method suitable for the production of the closure unit and a device for producing such a closure unit. Based on the feature of the preamble of claim 1, the first part of the invention task is solved in that the cover ring is formed as an injection molded plastic and provided with the front side of the fuselage ring- the annular groove and sprayed on the occasion of injection molding on the peelable plastic coating of the membrane is, and that the cover ring is connected to the membrane after placement by means of the annular groove on the front side of the fuselage with this gas and liquid-tight.
In contrast to the elaborate metal construction of the closure unit described above, the invention uses a cover ring made of plastic, which is produced by injection molding and sprayed onto the peelable coating of the membrane on the occasion of injection molding. Thus, on the occasion of injection molding, a complete closure unit is obtained which, in contrast to the prior art, is not thermally connected by crimping, but thermally via a hot-melt or, in the case of composite cans and plastic cans, also by ultrasound or high frequency to the front side of the fuselage. Overall, this results in a cost-effectively producible and gas- and liquid-tight closure unit.
As in the prior art, the cover ring on the outside latching cross-fitting Stülpdeckel is placed on the membrane, which serves as a closure for the can after removal of the membrane.
A method for producing a closure unit from a cover ring and a peelable membrane is characterized in that the cover ring made of plastic is injected in egg ¬ nem two-part injection mold, wherein the injection-side mold part, a base side CLOSED ¬ sene cavity and the other tool part has a two-sided open cavity, which is associated with a distance a plate having a punching tool, and that in the space between the tool part with both ends open cavity and the plate with the punching tool, an endless belt made of a material forming the membrane with its peelable coating of the open cavity and is passed in the leading time offset for injection molding the punch against the tool part facing her and simultaneously or thereafter against the injection-side tool part and thereby or previously punched out of the endless belt in each case a membrane is, and that the cavity open on both sides is covered on its side facing the punching tool side of the punched-out membrane, and that during the subsequent injection molding of the plastic lid ring produced with the peelable Beschichtungsu ng the membrane is sprayed to form a dense, but peelable compound.
The production of the entire closure unit thus takes place in a clocked process, without the need for separate handling of one of the parts of the closure unit. The punched-out membrane forms with its edge region at the same time the conclusion of the cavity open on both sides, so acts as a form-forming surface for her facing surface of the plastic cover ring. The circumferential annular groove of the cover ring is formed on the occasion of the injection molding on the inside of the plastic cover ring and then serves to attach the closure unit on the front side of the fuselage. The gas- and liquid-tight connection is then effected by hot-melt or, depending on the work- Cloth pairing by ultrasound or high frequency.
In one embodiment, it is provided that the endless belt is laterally guided in a guide approximately corresponding to its width in the side of the tool part facing the punching tool with a cavity that is open on both sides. This ensures that the endless belt is guided aligned in front of the one side of the cavity open on both sides in the second tool part.
For a closure unit on top of the Memb ¬ ran folded pull-tab, the method is modified so that the tear tab pre-punched in the endless belt, folded over in the next working cycle on the back of the end losbandes and adhered, and then punched out the closure membrane having folded down flap along the molding position becomes.
The endless belt is preferably withdrawn from a roll in a time cycle adapted to the injection molding cycle.
The roller is preferably arranged with a horizontal axis and the endless belt is fed vertically running.
In a further embodiment, it is provided that the closure unit consisting of ring part and membrane is attached to the front side of the fuselage after ejection from the injection molding tool by means of hot-melt or one of the other mentioned connection techniques.
An apparatus for producing a cover ring and membrane existing, cover-side closure unit for a can is characterized in that a two-part Injection molding tool for spraying the cover ring made of plastic with an injection-side tool part is provided with cavity closed on one side and a second tool part with cavity open on both sides and this is assigned a movable plate with punch whose line of action approximately corresponds to the outline of the open side of the cavity, wherein between the second tool part and the plate with the punching tool an endless belt made of the material for the membrane can be passed, and that the plate with the punch for punching the membrane from the endless belt with the second tool part moved together and at the same time or after closing the injection molding tool against the injection side Tool part are movable.
Thus, the device consists of a three-part tool, namely a two-part injection molding tool and a plate with punching tool, which faces the tool part with the cavity open on both sides and the Zufüh- tion for the endless strip material for punching the sealing membrane, which at the same time the injection mold part closes off the turned-off side of the open mold cavity of the second tool part during the injection molding process. The membrane thus forms its own seat and adhesive surface on the plastic cover ring.
The second tool part of the injection molding tool has, on its side facing the plate with the punching tool, a side guide corresponding to the width of the endless belt for ensuring that the endless belt reaches precisely before the open side of the cavity of the second tool part. The endless belt is preferably guided vertically through the device.
In a further embodiment, it is provided that the endless belt with external peelable plastic coating is arranged on a roller with a horizontal axis and by pulling the space between the second tool part and the plate with the punch tool is movable.
The endless belt is intermittently peelable according to the axial spacing of the punched-out membranes from the roll, wherein the trigger stroke is adapted to the injection molding cycle of the injection molding ¬ zeugs. The drive and control means provided for this purpose are obvious to a person skilled in the art and therefore require no explanation here.
Der Deckelring 4 weist an seiner der Stirnseite des Rumpfs 1 zugekehrten Seite eine Ringnut 7 (Figur 5) auf, mit der die Verschlusseinheit 3 auf dieIn Figures 1 and 2, the hull 1 is shown from cardboard composite for a composite can, one end face 2 with a closure unit 3 of a cover ring 4 made of plastic and a membrane 5 with molded tear tab 6 is closed. The cover ring 4 has on its the front side of the fuselage 1 facing side an annular groove 7 (Figure 5), with which the closure unit 3 on the
End face 2 can be placed. A gas- and liquid-tight compound is achieved for example by a hot-melt. The cover ring 4 engages with an inner region 8 in the hull 1 and overlaps with its annular groove 7 and this outside bounding wall 9 the hull 1 on its outer side. The membrane 5 has on the inside a peelable plastic coating, via which it is connected to the cover ring 4. The connection is obtained in that the cover ring with its end face 10 (FIG. 5) is sprayed onto the peelable plastic coating of the membrane 5.
After filling the Kombidose on the opposite end face 11 open composite can a bottom, not shown, is placed on this front side, which may also be made of plastic similar to the cover ring and, for example, by means of hot-melt on the hull 1 gas and moisture-proof. Finally, a conventional, not shown slip-on cover is provided, which is placed on the closure unit 3 and the outer wall 9 of the cover ring 4 engages latching. The tear tab is thereby folded down under contact with the outer wall 9 and the fuselage 1.
To open the composite box, the slip-on lid is removed and the membrane 5 is separated from the lid ring 4 by pulling on the tear-open tab 6. After removal of the desired amount on filled goods, the composite can with the slip lid is closed again.
In the figures 6 and 7 a modified embodiment is shown. The cover ring 4 made of plastic is slightly higher and the membrane 12 is seated on an inner shoulder of the cover ring 4. The tear tab 13 is folded inside on the top of the membrane.
