Abstract

Ein Kugelventil (1), das insbesondere als Hochdruckventil für Hochdruckpumpen von Brennstoffeinspritzanlagen von luftverdichtenden, selbstzündenden Brennkraftmaschinen dient, weist eine Ventilkugel (3) und eine Ventilsitzfläche (8) auf. Dabei wirkt die Ventilkugel (3) zur Unterbrechung einer Verbindung zwischen einem Zulauf (6) und einem Ablauf (7) mit der Ventilsitzfläche (8) zu einem Dichtsitz zusammen. Ferner sind eine Oszillationsanregung und/oder eine Rotationsanregung der Ventilkugel (3), die einem Schließen des Dichtsitzes (9) zwischen der Ventilkugel (3) und der Ventilsitzfläche (8) entgegenwirken, gedämpft. Dadurch wird ein zuverlässiges Schließen des Kugelventils (1) während eines sich an einen Förderhub anschließenden Saughubs erreicht.
