Abstract
The invention relates to a liquid electrolyte battery, such as a lead-acid battery, used, for example, as a starter battery in vehicles. The liquid electrolyte battery comprises: a housing (1) comprising a bottom, electrodes arranged in the housing (1), a liquid electrolyte, and a heating device (2) which heats the housing (1). According to the invention, the bottom (1d) of the housing is provided with recesses (1e) and the heating device (2) with heatable projections (2a) that can engage with the recesses (1e) of the bottom (1d) of the housing, thereby creating a thermal contact.
