Abstract

　本発明の還元鉄ペレットの製造方法では、回転炉床式還元炉にて、酸化鉄及び炭素を含む粉体の成形体を加熱処理して還元する際に、前記酸化鉄の平均粒径が５０ミクロン以下である原料で製造した成形体を、還元帯内における一酸化炭素の二酸化炭素に対する比を０．３から１としてかつ、１４００°C以下の温度で還元処理することにより、鉄の金属化率が５０～８５％でかつ、残留炭素の比率が２％以下である還元鉄ペレットを製造する。
