Abstract

 光検出素子を画素内に有することにより画像を取り込むことが可能な光センサ付きの表示装置においてダイナミックレンジを拡大する。センサ駆動回路が、リセット信号配線を介して供給するリセット信号(RST)をオンにし、所定時間経過後に読み出し信号配線を介して供給する読み出し信号(RWS)をオンにすることにより、前記所定時間内の光センサの受光量に応じた光センサ信号が出力される光センサにおいて、光センサ内に設けられたコンデンサの容量を、前記光センサへリセット信号(RST)が供給されてから前記所定時間が経過するまでの間に可変とする。
