Abstract

 アロイ化剤として好適なヒドロキシフェニル末端基を有する芳香族ポリエーテルスルホンを、あらかじめ重合により得た芳香族ポリエーテルスルホンと二価フェノール化合物および/または水と塩基性化合物を非プロトン性極性溶媒中で加熱することを特徴とするヒドロキシフェニル末端基を有する芳香族ポリエーテルスルホン(PES)の製造方法であり、この方法によれば、熱可塑性樹脂や熱硬化性樹脂とPESをアロイ化する際に、マトリックス樹脂中のPESを微分散化させるのに好適な、反応性のヒドロキシフェニル末端基を有するPESを、経済的且つ簡易な方法で短時間に効率よく製造することができる。
