Abstract
Even if a failure on storage sections occurs, a request for the processing of the storage sections is allowed to be immediately resumed while ensuring the duplication of the data between the storage sections. Thus, the data in a predetermined storage area of one storage section (11) is copied to another storage section (12) in response to the instruction from a data processor (2). A duplication control section (26) for maintaining the data in the predetermined storage area to be in the duplication state as a result of being copied thereto, if an acquisition section (25) acquires device failure information, changes the operational state of the duplication control section (26) to the suspension state in which the issuance of the processing request and the duplication processing by the data processor (2) are suspended. The duplication control section (26), if the recovery of the device related to the device failure information is completed, changes the operational state from the suspension state to a temporary disconnection state, that is, changes the operational state to the state in which the duplication processing is suspended while resuming the issuance of the processing request by the data processor (2) and managing the result of the processing in response to the processing request by a processing section (21).
