Abstract
L'invention concerne des gonfleurs de coussin gonflable de sécurité qui utilisent des compositions génératrices de gaz formées à partir d'un mélange de combustibles et d'un mélange d'oxydants, et de préférence de mica, à des niveaux allant de 1 à 5 % en poids. La composition génératrice de gaz contient un combustible principal et un combustible secondaire. Le combustible principal est un composé de guanidine, de préférence du nitrate de guanidine. Le combustible secondaire est sélectionné parmi les tétrazoles, les triazoles et des mélanges de ceux-ci, à des niveaux de 5 % en poids ou moins de la composition génératrice de gaz totale. Le système d'oxydants est un mélange d'au moins deux composants sélectionnés dans le groupe constitué par les oxydes de métal de transition, les nitrates de métal alcalin, et les nitrates de métal alcalino-terreux. Les nouveaux générateurs de gaz produisent des gaz de gonflage ayant une teneur réduite en gaz non souhaitables, tels que les oxydes nitreux et le monoxyde de carbone.
